I know of many contracts some that can be very persuasive and some that are very specific, however none of that will hold up in a court of law. Simply put its illegal to own someone. Sorry to dampen your spirits on that, but you can contract for labor such as cleaning your house in exchange for room and board, but sexually and free will you cannot own.

FatherMichael -> RE: CONTRACT (8/2/2004 9:08:58 AM)

I suspect while it is illegal to own someone...it isn't illegal to enter into a binding contract with duties listed, so it would be lawfully abided. while I've never used one, I can see the use in a contract, my "speciality" (terrible word but none other suggest itself) is women who are interested in the life but are too smart or too stubborn to get dommed out, and in those cases esp when a flogger (or heavier) is requested, it'd be nice ot have a little protection...of at least defineing how far is too far.

yes for the old-school doms, I agree with everything you can say about that, but the same way you always keep a knife handy at a bondage site in case something goes terribly wrong, in a modern age; legal protections have to be considered.

creamy... if I may call you that...

you may want to look at the extensive thread on contracts as well as on eforcable "slave" contracts (sic)

... and this is just what I have seen posted here in the last month.

haha...I always find these posts so humorous and shows how devoid most people are from actual knowledge of legality and what a contract actually stipulates. You can never knowingly contract someone in an enforcable way to commit anything that is currently considered illegal by the statutes of the law.

It can be a psychological thing if you happen upon a submissive without enough intellect to figure out that there really is nothing binding to them and they can leave as they please. Then again if you are doing your job right then they would have no desire to leave and their dismissal will be purely at your own discretion.

Perhaps some just like the symbolism behind it...but I just can't go for it...even as someone with sort of a report fetish. Nothing like the sound of a kneeling sub typing out a 5 page response in the other room. haha

BDSM is not about sex nor free will being taken by anyone.
sexuallity and giving of ones self in manners not normal but acceptable
by the group involved is a added bonus to any agreement. No one
here I am sure desire to Own another human being unconcensually
and that is what the US Law addressses and which is a hotbed of controversy right now being as the Goverment are breaking up rings
of illigal unconcensual slavery here in the United States on a daily basis.
Those of Us in BDSM or M/s OR D/s practice Our Living in a concensual manner by all parties involved and that is the fine line and differance that
makes Our Lifestyle Alternate there for not so easily accepted. There are
many here whom simply because they are afraid that they will be pidgened hole into sumthing thats not accepted by society try to remove
practices that have been in place and rules, regulations and proticals and yes even contracts for concensual slavery have been around for a while and for a very long time and insiting that slavery is illegal and such but those here whom practice concensual slavery know full well the differances in this and unconcensual slavery and would not cross such a line.It is only those whom do not know the differances or do not practice such whom balk. It is the preditors and pedifiles and those whom do not beleive in free will and believe in sexual slavery that put a bad face and taste in Our Lifestyle and Mouths. JMO

There is sum links in the two posts mentioned above that leads to sum contracts used for concensual simple complete willful suplication that you can find to use.

It is about the concensual acts of two or more Adults no matter what the
acts might intail and agreed apon by the persons going into the contract.

concensual contracts for any thing are just that dirived by the free will of two or more parties and do hold up.

Good luck.

I was going to post "Your search will brush up against the constituion eventually," but you are a Brit so the US constitution does not apply.

FatherMichael -> RE: CONTRACT (8/2/2004 7:30:47 PM)

most sex contracts are not to give free-action, they are to prevent lawsuits later. I for one have never worried about a sub of mine going to the cops..if I fouled up that bad to make her feel the need to do so I'd hope she owuld have a husband or a brother who'd come knock my teeth down my throat for screwing up....

if kobe bryant had had a contract though, there'd be no court case. there could be no morning after "buyer's-regret". the same goes for civil justice, I don't want someone who waded too deep (and I dumbly missed it) to be able to claim what she got wasn't something she had at one time wanted.

Often, your questions can be answered by doing a search of the archives. Please check the date of a thread and avoid commenting on anything more than 6 months old. If you would like to start a discussion based on a thread more than 6 months old, create a new post and include a link to the old thread. Posts telling people the “right” or “true” way to do things are unwelcome.
