That time has come again, to say goodbye to some old friends.

Today is the last day of Summer, you my friend will surely be missed til next year.
Today is the final day of the Ryder Cup, again you will be sorely missed until next time.

Finally, today is the last game ever at Yankee stadium.  While I am not a fan of the Yankees, it will be a sad day, knowing that hollowed ground will never know the joy of a cheering crowd.  Good bye forever.  Next year will be the first time in many of our lives that a baseball game will not be played there.

What things are you saying goodbye to?

Okay, seriously Thadius.......Just so Ya know.....You about made me go all Domme on You with the title of this thread....

What things am i saying goodbye to? hmmm..

Oxycodone, ugly withdrawal symptoms, insanity, and working myself to death.

What things would i love to be able to declare saying good bye to? Self hatred, doubt, guilt, confusion, and crabbiness.

Kali

Goodbye to the hopes and dreams and ambitions of improvements around the farm, and wrenching the lawntractors up for one last mow, sleep soundly in Nifilheim, under your great white blanket, and let us renew our vows, and our struggle; together,  in the spring.

I say goodbye to the summer days( and good riddens) Hello winter, i missed ya.

I would like easy to follow instructions on the insanity thing. I could use them according to a couple of people lol.. I don't believe it's possible but it's worth the effort.

I say goodbye to a few more pounds but before that i say hello to a tuna fish diet and upping my excersise routine.

Hello to dark depressing winter, I can deal with the cold, it's getting up when it's still dark outside and coming home from work when it's dark out I can't stand.

Almost like I see no sun all day because it's dark when I go into the office building and dark when I come out.

Also staircases that smell like vomit bring a whole new meaning to the term sick building syndrome.

Greetings everybody,
I am saying goodbye to dying friendships and to a place that I love but I won't return to.  I am saying goodbye to fear.
I am saying goodbye to a business that I never really had a passion for.

More impotantly (to me)...
I am saying hello to deep friendships,
I am saying hello to courage.
I am saying hello to a business I have wanted to do for over 10 years.

See, it is all how you spin it.

blows kisses all around,
sunshine

i will fondly say goodby to summer, but am looking forward to all the wonderful holidays and winter weather coming up.

i will be saying hello to a completely new work schedule in a week and i'm quite excited about it.

i'm also saying hello to "me" again...that is nice (most of the time), too!

I sadly say goodbye to the longer days of summer, with the bright sun shining down, making things look promising and green.

I'm saying goodbye to the near panic attack I had when I read the title of this thread.  These fora wouldn't be the same without You (and a few select others)

Otherwise, I'm saying goodbye to:
  • Friends and family (and their drama) who are only around when I can give them something
  • My marriage of nearly 20 years.

Positively, I'm saying hello to:
  • A new way of life

Whew....the title was a bit scary, Thadius.  Not sure if you realize it, but there's a secret Thadius fan club on CM.

I'm saying goodbye to the nice long, sunny days.

Goodbye to affordable energy bills.

Goodbye to the grass and trees.
Oh, and one goodbye I'm very happy to say:  Goodbye to the smelly old skunks!!

I am the only one with the song "Seasons in the Sun" running through my head now?  The original Terry Jacks version, that is.

Goodbye to you my trusted friend
We've known each other since we were nine or ten
Together we climbed hills and trees
Learned of love and A B C's
Skinned our hearts and skinned our knees.

Goodbye my friend it's hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Now that the spring is in the air
Pretty girls are everywhere
Think of me and I'll be there

We had joy we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the hills that we climbed were just seasons
Out of time......

Goodbye Papa please pray for me
I was the black sheep of the family
You tried to teach me right from wrong
Too much wine and too much song
Wonder how I got along.

Goodbye Papa its hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Now that the spring is in the air
Little children everywhere
When you see them I'll be there.

We had joy we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the wine and the song like the seasons
Have all gone.

We had joy we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the wine and the song like the seasons
Have all gone.

Goodbye Michelle my little one
You gave me love and helped me find the sun
And every time that I was down
You would always come around
And get my feet back on the ground.

Goodbye Michelle it's hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Now that the spring is in the air
With the flowers everywhere
I wish that we could both be there

We had joy we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the stars we could reach
Were just starfish on the beach

We had joy we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the stars we could reach
Were just starfish on the beach

We had joy we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the wine and the song like the seasons
Have all gone

All our lives we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the hills that we climbed were just seasons
Out of time......

We had joy we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
