Status: offline 		My cat is a fucking Addict.............. If Shadow could ... she would lick and eat glue until she couldn't move.  She particularly likes the glue that is on tape.  So.... I am thinking that I should send Shadow to Addicts Anonymous... and the rest of the family will have to go to course to stop being enablers.............to her addiction!!!


So.... is there anything your pets do that make you shake your head!!!

Status: offline 		in the mornings, when the sun is coming through the front windows, the blinds make sunspots where the strings run through the slats.  Amos 'chases' the sunspots.. lol And the other day she chased a chunk of cat hair that appeared from somewhere...

Theres a reason her nickname is Freak,.

Status: offline 		Beezel my now deceased cat loved water. It got so bad that I had to leave the bathtub faucet dripping so that she could let the water drip on her face. If I didn't or I shut the bathroom she would follow me around the house and scream at me until I turned the water on or let her in. Near the end of her life I had to fill the bottom of the tub with just a little bit of water so she could lay in the tub.

Status: offline 		I had a cat like that... she liked to drink hot water from my bath.  I would cup it in my hands and she would drink her fill.  Hey, it made her happy.

She liked to lick plastic bags too.  One word about that.  Crinkly-noisy (ok 2)

Status: offline 		Got a 14 yr old border collie who rules the house. If I decide to lay on the couch, she'll walk over and start giving that look, plus she starts pacing in circles until I get up. seems that I'm taking up her spot. Which she may or may not want to lie on the couch, it's the fact that how dare I lie or sit on "her" spot!

I had a cat like that when I was younger.  She would actually get behind you in the chair and then start pushing with her paws to get you to move.

Status: offline 		My cat will only drink water from a running or dripping faucet. A bowl is never good enough and he'll sit right beside a full bowl of ice-cold water and wait for me to turn on the kitchen faucet...

Status: offline 		The real sad part is I do move off the couch!  Talk about being trained! And this same dog "demands" to have some fruit yogurt mixed in her food. She will go hungry if that request (read demand) isn't met.

Status: offline 		i had a boyfriend who's cat was so possessive of him!  lol he and i would be lying in bed, Link would jump up in bed, wiggle his way between us and push with all 4 paws on my back to get me away from him lol

Status: offline 		cat licks and plucks my cotton sweater which now has a 4 inch hole in it..have to wear another sweater under it...which doesnt matter cause his claws go right through..and ouch.  so my boobie has cat scratches.

The list is too long. 

He's a paper product addict.  If it's made from a tree, he wants to eat it.  He has eaten receipts, bank statements, boxes, napkins, whatever.

He methodically removes all the q-tips from the q-tip jar, one at a time.

When I'm bending over to clean his litter box, he jumps up on my back and then peeks over my shoulder to watch.

In the middle of the night, and only in the middle of the night, he jumps to the top of any door in the apartment and rides it as it swings open as fast as possible to bang against the wall and then meows to death once up there.

He hates fish.

The only thing that makes him sit up straight and pay attention is when I put The Dog Whisperer on TV.

That's just the beginning...

Status: offline 		This entire thread makes me realize I'm not alone when it comes to freaky felines.

I have one lovely little miss that likes to pull books off the shelves. She also has a paper fetish.....loose paper is like catnip for her.  Who needs a paper shredder....she's quick and uses no electricity! 
I don't get too upset, though, because she's an amazing mouser.....I just wish she would understand I really don't need to have the little headless bodies of her "gifts" left in my slippers!!!!

Status: offline 		ahhhh, yes.....it is nice to know that I am not the only slave to an animal!  My oldest cat is the worst!  He thinks that he needs to eat every two hours...but the dry food is not what he wants, so he will come in and do any of the following:  head butt me in the forehead, stick his whiskers in my face, walk along the pillow and step on my hair and pull it.....how DOES he do that?????....if I'm laying with any part of my back or shoulders exposed, he will take one, just one, nail, and gently poke me with it.  And what's worse, is he'll do it when he's bored and wants attention...no matter what time it is!  3 am seems to be his favorite hour.  He can open any cupboard, even the ones that stick cuz of paint build up, he has to check out everything that comes in the house.....even if it came OUT of the house earlier!  Grocery day is fun.....he has a blast!  During sessions, he will sit quietly up on the pillows on the bed and sleep....now that has freaked out one or two folks!

Boo plays with pistachio nuts...he loves the little "tink" noise they make on tile, or in the bathtub....also at 3 am!  Smooch is the only one out of the three that seems to be a normal cat.

Another attention getter that KB employs...he will pull the dvd's out of the containers I have them in......small boxes, dvd sized, but in order to get them out, he has to LIFT them....I'm telling you, this is one cat that doesn't need opposable thumbs!  In the last place I lived, I had to make sure the door was locked when I was home, because he was tall enough to stretch out and open the door....took him 2 weeks of watching me open the door of the hotel I first stayed in when I moved out here.  I have different knobs here, round ones versus the lever ones, so it's cool.

Status: offline 		Also, KoM, just a thought....your monster may be suffering some sort of nutritional substance in his diet.....is this something he's done forever, or just started doing?  That stuff can't be good for anyone......2 or 4 legged!  Check with the vet....and you know you'll do the special diet thing, the nutritional add-ons, cuz you're just as much a slave to your kitties as the rest of us suckers are!  Mr. "I'll never have a cat in the house!".  riiiiight!

Status: offline 		She LOVES plastic grocery bags- I'm worried she'll smother herself one day.

When bored, she opens the cabinet and drags the whole pile of them all over the house, until she finds one that she can climb in and take a nap.

The other cat takes all of his kitty toys and piles them into his waterbowl... what a mess.  >.<
