"Religion" is a set of practices; "faith" is a belief system. My religion has vacillated a bit over the years (and, at one time, so did my faith, though both are solid now). I think faith trumps any particular religion; you can have faith without practicing any specific religion ... but having faith in God (or whatever you call your higher power) is different from being "spiritual."

Atheist. By the way this reply and your snarky one to sf drew don't do a hell of a lot to further the cause of loving and kind Christianity. In the immortal word's of Domiguy. I have been in many combat situations and even though I was lucky to come back alive with all my fingers and toes, I knew a lot of good men who weren't. ALL HAIL ZEUS, MIGHTY GOD OF THUNDER!! I wonder why those old Roman/Greek/etc religions are now called "mythology." People worshiped those gods the same way people worship their own now-a-days. Oh well, I'm an atheist anyway.

I think that greek and nordic mythology is friggin awesome, and would be even more so if it was actually real.

Its ok Aynne...my dancing comment was very tongue in cheek as I do in fact dance and other things not quite so baptist. I will say this though. I did check out the poly lifestyle and found out it wasnt for me. I just havent taken it off my profile. And I was baptized after that relationship fell in the toilet. I know that God loves me and forgives me my curiosities...and thats all that matters to me. [&:]

I guess I fall under agnostic at this point. I believe in what I can see or experience for myself, and since I have never seen nor experienced anything that I can consider a manifestation of God, then I refuse to make any judgement one way or another as to his or her existence. By the way, I HAVE had a gun pointed at my face, and I never once asked any God to save me or my soul.

In my instance the weapon, wasn't in my face, but was being shot at. I didn't have time to pray, all I was thinking about was cover/concealment and returning fire. One of the reasons I have a CCW and carry everywhere I legally can. Funny thing was, I was a forced christian at the time.
