So I've been searching, and I havent found a poll like this. but I'm really curious to see the statistics of the BDSM community... Where do you stand religiously?
are there more religious or atheist people?

Also you're welcome to discuss anything that has to do with religion/atheist/whatever.

I myself am an atheist.

I am a born again christian which to me is not a religion.

Religions are formed by man in search of......well..whatever he is searching for.

I simply believe in Jesus and have faith in the words of the bible.

(but just so you know...I attend a Southern Baptist Church for fellowship for fun.. even if we cant dance

)

I have traveled around and found that all religions lead to the exact same place. Each religion is just a structure to the same awareness.

I am a Christian. I was raised in the church. I have loved and lived my faith, sometimes better than others. I still love the fact that my parents brought me up in a Christian home where they didn't use judgment, but forgiveness and love as the method of sharing and showing their faith. I hope that my kids will think so highly of me when they are grown.

i'm kinda like you, Jessie, in that i believe in Jesus & God & read & attempt to follow the Bible, but i don't go to any particular church & don't belong to any particular sect...i see God's work every day in some way & believing the way i do brings me peace & calm.....i try very hard not to judge, but that's my biggest challenge.....

Same here, Linea.

i was raised Lutheran for most of my childhood, went to church semi-regularly. That routine kind of fizzled away when we moved this last time. We (my family and i) tried the Episcopalian (sp? lol) thing for awhile, but that kind of fizzled out, too. We never really got into the habit of going, i mean. i'm certainly curious about others beliefs, though.

So, to the op, (like that quote) i'm a spiritual being on a human journey.

I lean more toward eastern philosophies and consider them philosophies, rather than religions (for me). My spirituality comes from within, although I am still figuring it all out. I was raised Catholic, move out of Catholicism and into more "generic" Christianity, and abandoned those views about a year and a half ago.

I am a Taoist, not in religion or philosophy, but in practical application (TaiQi, QiGong, ReiQi). I suppose that makes me an atheist by default.

Agnostic, possibly. I believe there is a divine force of some sort, but that I do not have the ability to truly comprehend it. I have a lot of theories, and a lot of ideas. Basically, I adapt anything I find that just feels right into my own spiritual practices. I use some wicca, some ideas from traditional religions, some zen philosophy, and some divination with runes or coins. I don't know exactly what one calls that, so I go with agnostic.

I was raised Episcopalian (Catholic lite.. all the salvation, half the guilt!!). MY Grandfather was what I consider a true Christian.. he walked the walk... everything he did was in accordance to Jesus' teachings (although.. monster that I was.. I tested that to almost breaking point a number of times).

I still love the High Services, even though they are hard to find these days.

I consider myself to be more spiritual than religious.

I didnt realize curiosity in poly was more interesting than dancing...esp since The Bible doesn't give specific instructions on dancing. http://www.gotquestions.org/Christian-dance.html
