i can stop myself going into sub-space, quite easily.. Infact with my ex i had to almost everytime we played.. (He didn't have much thought for aftercare & i knew it i would have to look after myself). Unfortunately this led to the opposite problem, by the time i met my Master.. At first i found it incredibly difficult to relax and let go enough to even begin reaching sub-space. It's not something i try to control anymore, but i know that i could if i was playing with another partner and felt that i needed to.

For me, just being in the presence of my Goddess and Mistress puts me into sub space. Then there is the play they use that takes me even further into subspace. Whether it's humiliation, intense pain, playful banter, etc. i always feel myself going further and further into the control my Owners have over me.

Interesting question. I can certainly control if I go into 'subspace' or not. Sometimes, I'm just playing with a person I'm not completely comfortable with, other times, I know I have stuff to do afterwards, and don't want to end up sleeping all day. It's much harder for me to yank myself out of that headspace though. It can happen, but I'll be grumpy about it. [>:]

With my old Dom...all he had to do was grab my hair and it would begin....add a few things and I was gone. Once I was standing up measuring a necklace when he started, he grabbed my hair, bit my neck and the next thing I know its about 10 mins later and I am 15 feet across the room sitting in his lap. I have no idea how I got there... Yet with other Doms... I find it doesn't hit me as fast. I think its a trust thing, the more the trust, the quicker it rises.

there are signs that a good D/M will look for apart from the depth of breathing process and the eyes the window of what is indeed going inside and of course if a top is taking a bottom into subspace there is a consentual trust factor SHe/He is knowing fully aware and the sub space is so intense there is no place of the mind that you wish or even desire to leave it Hence it follows if a top puts you into that place it HE/She will take you out slowly.
