When Katie Couric asked Joe Biden about his opinion of how the tone of the campaign seems to have gone negative, Biden said that Obama's ad criticizing McCain's computer illiteracy was terrible.

Seems there is a bit of a communication problem going on in the Obama campaign. And apparently Obama doesnt seem to care much for Biden's opinions.

CBS' Katie Couric: "Are you disappointed with the tone of the campaign -- the lipstick on the pig stuff and some of the ads? And you guys haven't been completely guilt-free, making fun of John McCain's inability to use a computer?"
Biden: "I thought that was terrible, by the way."
Couric: "Why'd you do it then?"
Biden: "I didn't know we did it, and if I'd had anything to do with it, we would have never done it."

Pretty honest assesment by Senator Biden....Glad he said it, glad that he isn't affraid to express his opinion....even a disagreement.
Not so sure it means Obama dosen't care for his opinion, Biden was picked according to Obama because he wouldn't be affraid to disagree.

This may come as a shock to the republicans but the presidential candidate is not required to defer to the vice presedential candidate.

Except that:
A) Turns out he hadn't seenthe ad in question.
B) When he did see it, he thought it was harmless.
C) Later commented that, considering the shit McCain had been throwing into the fan, they deserved what they got. (paraphrased)

Boo hoo hoo... John McCain is a luddite who can't send an email to save his life... no fair pointing out a serious loss of 21st century experience. But, he can certainly accuse Obama of trying to teach kindergardners how to fuck... right? (Nevermind that bill was for for a program on how kids could keep themselves safe from sexual predators... I can see where Rove might not want to spread that information. It might cut down his time in the bushes outside P.S. 142 in DC...)

No, I don't know what you mean - you're normally so prodigal with attaching links, I thought perhaps you'd just forgotten this time.

Oh well, Joe went back over his initial reaction. Disappointing, but his personal integrity level is still way up there with the Gods, compared to his direct opponent. It's the kind of thing a man has to do to stay in a high speed political race - shame, but such is the order of things [sm=biggrin.gif].

At least, he didn't lie about refusing to build a bridge, aye [;)] ? A slightly more problematic story, that one.

This is why Palin has not given a single press conference,yet.The con mindset would shatter if she were to say such a thing.This is why they believe this is such a big deal.

But it`s not.

He was being honest.His opinion counts in the campaign.He`s not just a trophy wife.

The con model is one of strict,lock-step obedience to the talking points.

If you trip or fall,you get fired or shoved in  a closet.
