Did someone somewhere accuse you of being serious?

You just took over Estrings job when he got too busy to do it anymore.

dear fastlane
greetings,
i'd really like to know who really did ,that song
someone left the cake out in the rain but, i have memory problems i wasnt out of highschool yet but i do know who really did fighting in the fastlane and it wasnt the eagles or boston,(g.d.plagiarists!)...it was me.do you really think a dom top-mistress can be left alone(unprotected) ,to collect and, negotiate ,for me ,without getting killed, by my family, yet?.....it was done, before where she secured multimillions 6 plus ,in that regard but, she'd have to be a genius also i guess but,you know; i still depend on it,too....
funny post you really get ,to the picture point immediately!

Richard Harris did the song-and its called McArthur park--

Lyrics for: MacArthur Park

MacArthur Park
Richard Harris

Spring was never waiting for us, girl
It ran one step ahead
As we followed in the dance
Between the parted pages and were pressed
In love's hot, fevered iron
Like a striped pair of pants

MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!

I recall the yellow cotton dress
Foaming like a wave
On the ground around your knees
The birds, like tender babies in your hands
And the old men playing checkers by the trees

MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!

[break]

There will be another song for me
For I will sing it
There will be another dream for me
Someone will bring it
I will drink the wine while it is warm
And never let you catch me looking at the sun
And after all the loves of my life
After all the loves of my life
You'll still be the one

I will take my life into my hands and I will use it
I will win the worship in their eyes and I will lose it
I will have the things that I desire
And my passion flow like rivers through the sky
And after all the loves of my life
After all the loves of my life
I'll be thinking of you
And wondering why

[extended break]

MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!
Oh, no
No, no
Oh no!!

Richard Harris is the correct answer, yes? Written by Jimmy Webb.

I love that song and the Harris version in particular.

Hi MH00314, actually it was a huge hit for Donna Summer in the late 1970's, Ive not heard of Richard Harris. I believe the song was also included in the movie "TGIF" in which Donna Summer starred. "Last Dance" was another big hit for her from the same movie.

I am truly showing My age <s>

Seeing as how it's warmer in the tropics than a fridge - I'd have to say I lef tit (oops no pun intended) out, waited for it to get warm and did an American Pie to it. Giddyup. Rawhide! I'd tell my slave to slurp up the important parts but the white frosting hid it.

OMG, are you that young fastlane?

Yes, the DJ's of the 70's spun that one regularly and usually
closed with "Last Dance" which was sung by the same woman...Donna Summers!

Bringing up Great Memories of back in the day!

That's when I could kick a heel straight over my head, hehehehe.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Thanks for the memories!

Not a thing. That's why the category is titled "Polls and Other Random Stupidity".

If you're looking for BDSM discussion, why are you in here?

Just curious,

I was alive and kicking back then. Didn't get much into disco though. I remember our junior high used to have dances at a disco club we could all walk to. Ewww.
