Is your dominant a walking, talking shining beacon of leadership who breathes and radiates pure divine light of authority, bringing all submissives to their knees in his/her very presence?

An infallible, all knowing, all seeing, all powerful pinnacle of humanity who never doubts and always has the answer to every problem?

A falconer straight from the ideals of CastleRealms with a mastery of all skills that grows and changes you with a snap of his fingers?

Or is he...you know....just a guy or gal who occasionally does things that spawns such thoughts as "Wow, that's pretty dorky." or "That's so annoying. Is he/she going to keep doing that?"?

If so, what are some of things that remind you of his humanity and make him/her a person to you and not a caricature pulled from a fantasy book?

Hi MR, I'll mention a few things about the man I've been spending time with:

He's a dork.  He breaks out into song about whatever we might be talking about.  He actually started singing "Dancing Queen" to me while trying to get me to disco dance.

After 20 years in recovery, he still craves a drink, and tells me about it.

He apologizes for misunderstandings.  When he was in a time zone 2 hours ahead of me, he excitedly messaged me that my favorite show won an Emmy for Best Drama.  When I thanked him for sparing me having to watch the Emmy's, he immediately called and apologized for ruining it for me, not realizing it wasn't broadcasted in California yet.

He has told me his part in the demise of past relationships.

He has told me about his shallowness.

When he was in a bad mood he wanted to just stew in it and then laughed when I wouldn't give him sympathy.

Stuff like that.  Kind of important.

He is a computer geek. It's a great thing when the laptop starts making funny noices it's another thing when he talks all "techie"
But he could say just as much dorky stuff about me.
I watch Legally Blonde everytime it's on.
I quote Monty python and the holy grail ALL THE TIME.

Yeah I know.................HAWT!!!!!!

He makes me laugh many times each day, and that makes him just about perfect.

He's a Patriots and Red Sox fan....so though He's not God, i'm not totally convinced He's not the devil.

That would be the first thing.

Woah, woah, woah, woah. Are you asking about a so-called "flesh and blood" Dominant?

His fav annoying song........"There ain't no bugs on me, there ain't no bugs on me, there may be bugs on some of your mugs but there ain't no bugs on me".............I wish I were kidding. He does this at the most inappropriate times. In the grocery store when we're buying groceries, in the doctors office, in a funeral home for god's sake.  This behavior causes me to morph from a submissive into a vicious teeth clenching dominant who threatens to physically harm him.
If I'm busy on the computer or trying to watch something he doesn't want to watch ....... he and our dog howl together until I stop what I"m doing.

Sigh ................other than that he's pretty awesome.

He laughs like a girl, gets really lame songs from the 80's stuck in his head and sings them outloud, and is totally addicted to Honey Nut Cherrios. I think he must be human.
In most other ways he's pretty close to perfect in my eyes.

Oh goodness, a gazillion things, many of them the exact same ones as my own.

I can worship a being as a deity and still worship their humanity.

He'll say the most redneck, conservative, completely wrong things just to get me gnashing my teeth and biting my tongue.  And then he laughs at me when I try not to go off about whatever it was he said.  Yep, definately a man.

Well, there was this one time when my Dominant was slipping into his shining
armor, and he caught his penis between the rivets.

It wasn't this fall from grace into mortality which raised an awareness in me.

It was the way he screamed like a little girl as he hopped, skipped and jumped
from the room.

I've always seen Dominants as simply human, with needs, wants and desires
which happen to coincide nicely with those of my own. The human touch.

Besides, I'm pretty sure Deities don't leave those skid marks in their drawers.

He is both.  In 'submission', you can dig the deity and the man - and even his spirit.

His voice gets very high pitched and cracks. He cant dance and hes not all that into music. He wears glasses and is bald. very nerdy. He has a horrible memory. He drives like a bat out of hell. An ex amateur stock race car driver. He listens, talks and shares more than any man I have ever known. He gets inside my heart, mind and soul.he calls me his most prized possession.

He is human and capable of mastering me.
