We are now getting at the root of wrong with the financial system these days. The left has "selective memory" when it comes to legislation to enhance regualtion of FannieMae and FreddieMac that was voted down by democrats with some of the liberal republican friends. It's a national disgrace.

And the right has convenient amnesia about its zealous, prolonged efforts to create the regulation-is-bad mindset that took root in America.
