Im not a big fan of clowns .well except for Ouchy the clown and hes a nut case. So I read with trepidation about a naked clown calendar, and I thought I would share

The link is bad. I don't really understand the fear of clowns thing. I just don't see what is so spooky about them.

If you have a fear of clowns it's possible you spent a certain period of your childhood in hospital. The theory goes that the decor in children’s wards has images of clowns and you come to associate that with the trauma that you were going through at the time i.e. isolation, pain, illness etc.

It's funny but without the clown costumes they appear to be just mimes and don't cause that ICK clown reaction I usually have.

No early trauma here, but I think it's the lack of clues to their feelings that makes them so scary. Between the oversized outfits so there's no body language, and the make up that prevents any facial cues, clowns come off as the ultimate other. Humanlike but with no relation to humans. Definite aliens in their appearance.
