ORIGINAL: cloudboy When Couric asked how Alaska's closeness to Russia enhanced her foreign policy experience, Palin said, "Well, it certainly does because our ... our next-door neighbors are foreign countries." I don't know what to say..... Apparently the Couric interview didn't go to well according to the reviews. SNL seems to exist during the weekdays now. I'm sorry, but I thought Russia was a foreign country?? Where is Sarah wrong? Don't you think being on the border with another country, don't you think if you lived in Alaska with it's air force bases and missles all there for one reason...to present a deterrent to that particular foreign country, don't you think as Governor or the State of Alaska and being intimately made aware in briefings and liason with the military in your State there for only one reason...Russia! I don't think anyone, including Sarah Palin, feels she is an "expert" on foreign policy. However, it seems to me that Bill Clinton was not an expert when he was sworn in, and this fellow Barry Obama might have a few more stamps in his passport than Sarah, but I guess in fairness we should eliminate his junior year abroad trip. And could anyone on the left PLEASE tell me somehing Biden, a man who has been on the government dole all his life, has done in his decades in the Senate, or legislation sponsored in the Senate where he had a profound impact on U.S. foreign affairs? Sorry, should not use a word like "affairs" in a question about democrats.
