tropicalhoney -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/16/2010 11:40:52 AM)

Surely you jest to even mention them in the same breath, or I am the only one who shudders at the mere thought of that much cold?

subwaythru -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/18/2010 2:34:24 AM)

The frigid continent summarily dismissed, and the subject of Old Children's literature proving mighty perilous ground, is there a topic which may be safely addressed-- and, I am most extremely sorry to note, one which also, somehow, must necessarily involve the letter "U" ?

tropicalhoney -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/18/2010 5:47:56 AM)

Undulating waves, breaking on shore, soporific or not?

xxblushesxx -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/18/2010 5:54:20 AM)

nm responded to wrong question; nothing to see here, ignore IGNORE!!!

subwaythru -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/18/2010 9:07:30 AM)

Waves, of an undulating nature, whether or not they produce a somnolent state --- may I step aside to allow you the pleasure of expatiating on this theme?

tropicalhoney -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/18/2010 11:26:51 AM)

Xebecs floating around, while I'm sure quite lovely, would be an unusual sight these days, would they not?

subwaythru -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/18/2010 7:57:37 PM)

Well do I now know of this three-masted vessel of the Mediterranean, formerly much used by the corsairs: incalculably valuable in a word-battle when looms the dreaded "X "....how can I ever repay you for the bestowing this kind favor?

tropicalhoney -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/19/2010 6:05:02 AM)

You didn't really think I would fall for the trap of having to find another "x" word, did you?

subwaythru -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/19/2010 10:10:55 AM)

Zounds, woman! -- can it be that you have forgotten our friend, the Xiphias (the common swordfish!) who is always happy to help out in an "X"treme alphabetical emergency? ? ?

tropicalhoney -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/19/2010 4:18:21 PM)

Alphabetical wonders, those Xiphias, but are they xanthic?

subwaythru -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/20/2010 3:05:48 AM)

Believe it or not, can it be that I have, at last, been stumped for an answer?

tropicalhoney -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/21/2010 7:44:09 AM)

Could it be that you did not realize that xanthic indicates yellowish, could it, could it?

subwaythru -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/22/2010 7:42:42 AM)

Do not, I pray thee, for a moment doubt that my vocabulary was devoid of this word "xanthic"; may it be known that my admittedly cursory research failed to reveal the hue of said aquatic vertebrate?

tropicalhoney -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/22/2010 10:36:59 AM)

Elucidation can be difficult though...color of back variable, black, greyish blue, brown, metallic purple, or bronze; sides dusky; underbelly dirty white; long, flat, sword-like upper jaw; lacks scales, teeth, and pelvic fins; single keel on each side of body in front of tail; first dorsal fin high, rigid and short; large eyes...only if one digs a little deeper can one find the answers, is it not true?

subwaythru -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/22/2010 10:57:13 AM)

Forfeit I the piscatorial pigment prize; may I now retire to lick my wounds, having met my Waterloo in this fishy fight?

tropicalhoney -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/22/2010 11:03:29 AM)

Genuflection from the masses regarding said piscatorial pigmentation will be forthcoming, will it not?

subwaythru -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/22/2010 11:31:03 AM)

Hail to the unquestionable queen of the quick-witted quills, quizzes and quips; I am quelled and quashed and do not quibble at thy drawing and quartering of me in the query of questions; you may say quid pro quo, but need I warn you that I shall be on the qui vive?

RedStapler -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/22/2010 11:47:31 AM)

Isn't all this verbiage becoming a bit too grandiose?

subwaythru -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/22/2010 12:01:44 PM)

Jabberwocky, otherwise known as gibberish, nonsense, and gobbledegook, is just my thang; I have never demanded that others take up my foppish verbosity; please, may I be forgiven if has ever seemed otherwise?

tropicalhoney -> RE: Alphabetical Questions (7/22/2010 1:32:07 PM)

Karezza techniques might then be a more pleasing topic of discussion, is that correct?
