About bigger yards;

Some feel more yard is more grass to cut.   I  think it is more about the layout of the property- if is is actually more.

Todays paper had a neighbor fight... one tried to have the other fined [in the country] due to a rooster tha keeps yelling. Every 1/2 hour it said.

Burning in a burn barrel too- an aunt lives out in the country. The neighbor upwind burns plastic garbage all day long...it simmers.  The people are too cheap to buy garbage pick up, and it is sort of legal.   The law says you cant burn plastics but there is no way ... to enforce it.   Especially when residents feel they have a right to do that.

Also- I looked at 5 acres in port trevorton.  Hmm.  it was the side of a cliff. someone bought it up right away...the house was a dump.\

So on my place... there must be a way to convert this dump on a busy street for a dump on a dead end.  The $ value of here - lets say declined...but the $ on the new property also - should decline.

??

So Term, on war, drive bys are war - sure.  There is a fine line between seduction and rape. lawyers are skilled at convincing us to be seduced - when really we are raped.  So THIS is war too.

I recall when I worked at HR Block.  I had just 30 sconds to finish up a needed form on a family who hired a babysitter and was late as it was.  The owner called an emergency meeting.  Im thinking oh no- the worse is happening. The meeting was 20 minutes or maybe it was 7 minutes.  The entire floor was called into the break room.  The crises was.....  Clinton was trying to do a tax simplification law.  But not to worry- we have lawyers in Washingtom working on it.
...sAy what???  You called me away for this???

But now on the OP, that would explain my slut period, and now more less no sex or passionate search to score it. I am a rat.

We are all rats. That is why they call it the rat race.

In the modern world- physical strength is 2nd to mental strength... so how does the peon gain mental skills to trump the grid?

??

Which leads me to distraction...which is a tool of war.  The elite get the gold if we are all distracted. Sorta like- if I go into the back yard, and leave the front door out of my control... the robber enters thru the front.  1 could be asking for directions while the other slips in.

That is a reason why I like pets. You can tell their motives easily.

My age and schools implored us to question authority- to question "everything". I will never forget my contemporary lit class in high school.  We were not in the class room  The class room was around us.   .Critical thinking was encouraged.

Still- we were told the world had justice, was fair, that we were free and the luckiest on the planet.  My dad had the same mode he ....

But then, after I seen how living in the inner city, that we all, do not get along; and later when I went thru a handful of court events- I seen that justice is for thos who have the means to buy it. ( at minumin to pay $200 an hour for an atty)

And after that- product obsolence, defectivenss got bad.... and I really started noticing the fraud in the world.

There are basic laws of the universe that no matter how rich you are- that are the law.  Light and dark, no one lives forever, gravity pulls one does, we all must pee and poo. We all eventually get tired and must sleep- we all have limitatations, we all must eat.  and more.

And yet- then take a car accident. 4 people can see the same event and all see something different.  Now apply that to all the players and the assorted ambitions that in some part are influenced by age and era.

so- in short- I need to look up what an andrenal gland DOES.

Hunk, adrenalin is a hormone in the body. It tends to increase the metabolic rate and operates mainly in a "fight or flight" situation, but not only that. There is a small amount of adrenalin flowing most of the time, but when the organism is threatened the levels climb. Extreme levels of adrenalin can cause people, as long as their body can support it, to have seemingly superhuman strength.

We've heard the stories about the Grandmother who lifted a car off the kid, things like that. Whether substantiated or not, we know things like this happen. The fact is you are about five to ten times as strong as you think you are. When you fall oin the ground for example, your muscle tense to around five times what you could do conciously, to protect the skeletal structure.

Adrenalin allows the organism to use this extra stength, as well as what could be termed second wind. Adrenalin puts one on a higher physical plane, and also enables one to ignore physical pain.

Adrenalin production increases with stress, any kind of stress. If this is not used to fight physically, it still serves to speed up the metabolism. When this happens, essential nutrients and minerals are used up more quickly in the body.

The melding of body and mind, along with percieved pressures encourage this, and that could explain the early deaths. Just the fact that there are too many others there does it, the organism anticipates problems, and tries to prepare by virtue of simple self preservation. Humans call it being nervous.

And kit, I must commend you for not railing against the article. In another forum, one that is private and industry specific to my work, one did. They found the article racist etc. and said so. I don't agree, he called it sophistry, and useless. He basically threw the baby out with the bathwater, you seem to see that it was written thirty years ago and things were different. However discarding it completely is wrong, because it is unlikely that many more studies will be performed on the subject, as long as the PTB see us as a unit of livestock, or a ledger entry. They care not under the conditions we live, all the care about is the conditions under which they live. Things were different thirty years ago. Even then, I really doubt these studies were government financed.

Who is the madding crowd?

kittinSol -> RE: Can we survive the madding crowd ? (9/29/2008 1:25:56 PM)

Probably nothing to do with Thomas Hardy.
