i have a question i desparately need answered...once a man gets on your Yahoo IM list, how the hell do you get rid of him? I have a serious problem and really need help; no amount of hitting "delete" keeps them off my list or prevents them from IM'ing me again.

is it possible to IM without adding a man to your IM list?

pinkpleasures, in the yahoo chat box, the one you type responses in, there is a contact button and it drops down to choices and one is ignore do that and than delete from the messenger list this should take care of him
hope that this works for you it has for me in past, if not not sure what to tell you otherwise, on montel they had a group that took care of cyber stalkers threaten to put them onto him and hopefully that will end it

i have tried to delete from an open (unused) IM but it won't work!!!

Calm your hysterical pink ass down. In subcheryl 's last post, she told you exactly what it is that you need to do. You need to put the offending individual on your ignore list. Just deleting them from your contact list doesn't stop them from messaging you.

Everytime I see someone throw out a statement about the alleged shortage of submissives it makes me scratch my head in wonderment. Ya'll dominant-types might need to consider relocating to the midwestern area of the US if ya'll don't have enough submissive-type females in your neck of the woods, cause there's anywhere from 4 to 10 submissive females for every dominant male in the communities I've sampled. Of course, I am referring only to real-time communities and functions where folks actually get together face to face. When one considers that there are anywhere from 10 to 40 dominant males for each submissive female within the online communities I've sampled, it does lend credence to the idea that the overwhelming majority of those online dominant males are not active in realtime.

Actually, pink can make it so that she can't get messages from anyone until she adds them. On Yahoo Messenger, go to Messenger, then Preferences. Click on the heading reading "Ignore List" and then on the button next to "Ignore everyone who is not on my Messenger list" It's an easy way to keep yourself from getting all those random porn bots, too.

Though a better one is to edit your Yahoo profile (Messenger, My Profiles, create/edit my profiles) and uncheck the box that says "Add this profile to the Yahoo! Member Directory."

Yes, Yahoo Messenger is one of the areas I know too damn much about.

When it comes to IM I just want to converse with the person for a while and get a sense of who they are and where they're coming from.

It happens the other way around, too. Yes, there are plenty of "LordDomMasters" out there that are suddenly demanding within two minutes of conversation but there are also "SubbieSlaves" out there that are instantly groveling at your feet when they really have no idea what it is they're doing.

This is news to me...There are many sub/slaves around..just depends on what you are looking for...online, offline, relocateable and so forth...the largest group of subs are the male subs..There isn't as many Female Dominants as there are male..As for the trolling, that will continue for those that are scared to get offline and off their collective asses and truly learn what BDSM is all about...So, you get what you got starshine..

so many wannabes...so few True Doms. no matter what site you are on, you will get the trolls lurking in the shadows waiting to pounce on unsuspecting submissives. At least you can see them for who they are. it is the new submissive who yearns for a Dom that i worry about. unless someone takes them under their wing, they will get hurt.
