>Duke University finance Prof. Campbell Harvey predicts there could be 750 to 1,000 bank failures over the next six months because of billions in bad assets stemming from the housing meltdown.< I would like to thank all you BUSH voters for keeping him in office, otherwise he could not have brought his disastrous touch abroad back home. First he wrecked a sovereign nation from without, now he might bring another to its knees from within. His tax cuts gave us $2 Trillion in new debt. Now his domestic policy might ruin our economy for the next decade. But at least you'll have Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, the NRA, family values, the Christian Coalition, and the Creationists to fall back on. Keeping him those extra four years undoubtably may win him the top spot as the WORST PRESIDENT ever. Newsflash: McCain has sided with BUSH 91% of the time.

The electorate put Bush back in office in 2004. They get the credit. The electoral college gets credit for 2000.

I hope you're not trying to blame bush for the housing meltdown. If so, I'd like to see you back it up. What percentage of the time would a good politician vote against Bush? Can you just toss a coin and vote against him 50% of the time and get better results?

A simple policy that has served me my entire adult life, if the majority of Republicans are for something it will cause me harm somehow someway. OTOH if the majority of Democrats support something it will be something that improves my situation. This has worked in all cases without fail.

Oh yea..... thats not in the democratic theory is it? Bigger goverment, more programs, more entitlements... lets just hold everyone's hand and not force them to be accountable. What ever happened to the adage,"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach him to fish and he will eat for a lifetime".

In '04 we as a nation were in the middle of an armed conflict and the last time a President was voted out in the middle of an armed conflict was?....Hmmmmm.... It wasn't the Democrats election to lose and had Kerry won it would have been an amazing feat. No, he didn't help himself but the politics of Rove and company did a wonderful job of killing his chances... Rove for his faults and believe me, I have no love for the guy is a marvelous political strategist as far as stretching and mis-stating and Winning!....I think he is detetable but smart at playing on the edges.

The next President is stepping into a country that has been literally run into the fucking ground. It will take at least 4-8 years to start to dig out of the crap hole President Bush has left this country sitting in!

Kerry would have made a perfectly decent president. His presidency wouldn't have ended in the debacle and embarrassment that is accompanying Bush's, for sure. The man has balls, and he has class, he didn't dodge going to Vietnam, and he speaks foreign languages. Maybe that's why more people didn't vote for him.
