After reading " Another Raid - #2257 & Obscenity laws at work " and posting to it a couple times.I realized that I was getting more and more aggressive. I wanted to say more on the topic, but I didn't want to hijack the thread. That's quite unlike me. I can't stand that, that ever took place. Even though it happend south of the border form us here in Canada. It stills scares the hell out of me and infuriates me to no end. How dare these thugs use the law to enforce some one elses sence of morality on anyone. If you hate porn, don't view it. If you hate bondage, don't watch it or try it. If you are digusted by me, because I love it, screw you. If it has no effect on your life and we harm no one that isn't willing. Then what gives you the right to legislate against our lifestyle. Just because youy don't agree with it or it repulses you, so what. Then ignore it. You won't find me in my leathers beating down your door, to endoctrinate you into my way of life. Or degrade you for your choice of religion. So what gives you the right to dictate what I do to my slave, who gave himself to me willingly and with pride, or say what we can or can not do with our bodies behind closed doors or on film if we please. The narrow, narrow minds of the jack booted nazi morality cops are doomed to repete history, time and time again, because they choose to ignore their past and the results of it. The spanish inquisition, the crusades, the destruction of the Native way of life in North America. All in the name of you know who. Now they have found a new target. The hunt for Osama must have eneded when I was asleep. The relitively law abiding BDSM community and "Adult" industry is now "Public Enemy" #1. We should feel honoured that we rate such a fuss. We probably would. If we weren't running for the hills or scraping together enough money to "buy" a lawyer. I'm so sorry, I hate to rant. I am just so angry, I'm shaking. I have no idea how to get this hate out of me. And I can assure you, I wish I could. I'm normmally quiet and reserved. If you've read this far...Thanx for bearing with me. I don't think that anyone has the right to dictate whether such activities are appropiate or not. If people are offended by such thing then they should not look as long as it is not hurting the unwilling.

i had an emotional reaction to that thread too, i cant say its hate i was feeling, just a frustration with the world as it is i suppose. i suppose all we can really do is make double sure we never do that to other people or support others who do that to other people in any way shape or form and not just within the things that directly affect us or how we are living but in every way. i had started a similar topic stemming from my reaction to that story.

The problem is that some people just can't stand to let others have more fun then them. These are the truly miserable people in life who feel that the only joy that can be had will be the eternal bliss of deaths affectionate embrace. Now I don't mean to offend any religion or belief system, I feel that most offer a strong moral code to live YOUR LIFE by. That is to say if you follow the teachings and tenants of your beliefs that is fine by me and perhaps the world would be better served if more people did the same, but if you adhere to them soo strictly that you cheat yourself out of any of the limited fleeting pleasures that this life has to offer then there is something wrong, as you only go around once, unless your a buddhist or hindu of course. It is these people who cling fast to their albatrosses until they are joyless wretches who come up with this kind of crap and feel that if they must be miserable for their beliefs then everyone else should be as well, so they stick there noses into any kind of activity they can find that might be making its practioners happy and seek to snuff it out of existence. Sorry for the rant but I have strong feelings about this.

Hate!!!!!!!!! No matter the person.... Red, Yellow, Black Or White. Christian, Atheist, Prodestant North, South, East, West Vanilla..... BDSM We all hate it, We all want it too end. But there's always someone out there who thinks it should be their way, and their way only! The Law that is suppose to protect us, protects them more it does seem. We in fact, are fighting the same fight others have fought. Freedom of religion, speach, segregation, gay rights. (though the fight on gay rights continues as well). "The hunt for Osama must have eneded when I was asleep." Ok, I about fell out of my chair on this quote. We all know when this search ended. It ended when someone thought it was an open door opportunity to seek revenge for the attemp on Daddy's life. (But that a whole new arguement isn't it!) I can't speak for all and am not going to try to, but some of use do feel your anger on this. I live right smack in the middle of the Bible Belt in North Carolina. Everywhere I turn, Bible Thumpers!! So I get it in all types of degrees here. (You know what I mean. they don't know for sure.. but once the preaching begins.. you just know they're talking about you!.. LOL) Rant, Vent all you want. Got to be able to some how, best way to shed some of the hate and anger.

So get out there and fight it. Protests, petitions, in-their-face politics. Make t-shirts and donate their profits to NCSF and the ACLU. Write to your congress persons. Make a documentary. Make your case to the media. Come out and be proud of who you are. As a great woman once said, "Don't get mad, get even." There are so many things that make me angry in this world. I'm trying to think positively.

Think about what hate is. There might be hate or instead maybe just a radical disregard motivating the events that have you upset. Whatever motivates them I think that you and I would like to see changes. Is hate something which can conceivably be conquered by hate?

I agree, but took it one step further by joining the Libertarian Party. Ok, I haven't read that other thread in a day and remarkably I feel better. I don't believe I was feeling hate. In retrospect I think it was frustration, fear and anger. Hate's not something I generally subscribe to. As I expected, all your thoughts have been positive and enlightening. Thanx

I was sitting here early discussion this topic with a friend of mine. And was reminded that a mutual friend of ours from about 2 years back was arrested. Now his crime to which caused the raid isn't important here. But what is, is the fact that when they busted down his door with th warrent. He was in the mist of having his slave tied over a chair. On his knees feasting upon her. (Mental picture here folks... LOL) The orginal felony charge was lowered to a misdmeanor. And NEW Felony charges were brought up. Because during the course of the arrest. The officers found him performing lewd acts against nature!..Holding captive a female. And a few other charges that were named as misdmeanors......... In his own home, behind closed doors. And of course, with consent from his slave. Now go figure... he was convicted on all accounts. (Non of the original charges that got the cops in the door in the first place.) He's currently doing 10 years total. He's been in for 13 months. And with good time and good behavior, we expect to see him again in the year 2007, if not sooner. Oh yeah, the slave gal.... testified on her Master's behalf. And they claimed she was only trying to protect her captor. Something to do with how kidnapped victims think of their kidnappers as their protectors, after being with them so long. The decided she needed mental care, and the courts ordered her to mental health as an out patient. Feeling she was mental abused. (On 1 more note, they did not live together so their was no proof that she was their of her own consent.)
