There have been numerous times when I didn’t get what I wanted in life. Of course, I’ve been disappointed and hurt. But usually, when I put some distance or time between events, I can look back a ‘see’ the situation much more clearly. More often than not, I’m glad I didn’t get the very thing that I thought I wanted.

Forgive the theatrics, but what do you do when something you profoundly want passes you by?

Learn what you can from the experience, and try to apply that new found knowledge next time around. And, yes, despite how you are feeling right now, thee will be a next time.
