On another thread, Davenkael mentioned the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom website as a resource for finding Kink Aware Professionals. So I toddled over there to have a look and it is a fantastic resource for all sorts of things Kink related! I know lots of you probably were aware of this site, but I for one was not so I am posting some highlights and link to the website itself. There are alot of topics covered that have been the subject of long threads on collarme.

So why bother doing anything?

By merging our educational programs with ITCR’s we will now be able to accept tax-deductible donations for educational programs. If you want to help support our Educational Outreach Program, academic research, an activist educational conference, or the media updates, write a check to ITCR-FNCSF. Donations to ITCR/FNCSF are tax deductible. If you’d like to contribute to the CDA case, our Incident Response program or future legislative efforts make the check out to NCSF. Donations to NCSF, Inc. are not tax deductible.

What’s happened between ITCR and NCSF?

For several years NCSF and ITCR have informally collaborated on issues of activism and consider each other peers. Through recent discussions the leadership of the two groups has decided that the interests of both are best served by combining their programs, activities, finances (to the extent permitted by law), and constituencies, and then reapportioning these programs and activities between the two organizations in ways that make the most sense operationally, practically, and fiscally. ITCR has become ITCR – The Foundation of the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom.

NCSF is a great organization. BSB, Rick and Tina who you have met, donate almost all their fundraising to them and when they ran for NorthWest Master/slave and International, I supported them with a lot of donations myself.
Some friends of mine are considering making an attempt at the world record of piercings, which would be 5,100. I came up with the idea of doing it like a walk-a-thon and having people sponser the needles at a few bucks each, could be a really massive fundraiser!

And I feel a bit ashamed that you didn't know about this organization...

From what I have heard second hand, people who have attempted to sign up have had little response. And from personal experience, I had no response from the site when I wrote them enquiring.
