Hi everyone =) Just wondering if many or any of you have any experience in hypnosis and if so, how it's come into your bdsm lifestyle...

I'm very new in the area of hypnosis. Q has done some preliminary stuff with me... some relaxation techniques and tests to see how suggestible I am... but he hasn't put me under yet. I'm very much looking forward to it.

I love my Sir and try to be very good and obey him all the time. That being said there's something very compelling about the thought of being unable to disobey. To me, it's sort of the whole "freedom of bondage" thing. Yes, I try very hard to stay in the positions that Q desires me to be in, but sometimes it's lovely to be tied into position and just be able to relax into it and let all my focus shift to what he's doing to me.

Yes, as my dear Aidan said, she is very new to it, thus not anywhere near fully grasping the idea of it yet. I have been in this particular kink for 10 years. Aidan and I have been seeing each other for 4 months. We're just getting to the point where I feel she feels comfortable enough to let go for me for her first time. I get to pop her cherry, how exciting!

At any rate it's too early in the day for me to ponder on any general questions. I'll be happy to try to answer any specific questions. I'm sure the lady whose name I don't recall off the top of my head but starts with an "A" will chime in soon and point you to a ton of other threads where general questions such as yours was discussed. If you'd like, you can save her time and type "hypnosis" in the search box on the forum.

As hypnosis is the subtle/covert reinforcement of the willingly malleable, nearly all of BDSM could be said to be a 'hypnosis' of sorts.

Milady is interested in hypnosis and we have done a wonderful meditation together where I went under pretty far. It was very cool - like the whole world shrank down to this little bubble of She and I.

I like hypnosis, it's very intimate and lovely and wonderful.

I'm a do-er, not a done-to-er, because I don't trance, but still, as the do-er... so wonderful. And, erm, fuzzy.

I am a qualified and certified hypno-therapist and psychologist. Hypnosis has a place in many aspects of life provided it is used by suitably trained and qualified practitioners. I strongly suggest you do a thourough search of the archives where you will find numerous threads discussing and debunking hypnosis which I refuse to be drawn into repeating my arguments again.. I did some courses on hypnosis and have tried to use it in erotic situations, but to a person, they always fall fast asleep. The trouble with our modern stressful lives is that the moment we get comfy and relaxed, we start snoring. It's an altered mental state all right, - slumber.
