Does anyone here have any experience with the site known as Femdomme Society?

I'm told it's a pay site. Is it worth joining? Pros? Cons? Good experiences? Bad experiences? Waste of money? Worth the money?

I joined for a while. You don't have to pay if you don't want to.

Maybe I am just too used to CM, but the mails I got there are all very formal. A little too formal And that made me suspect it was some kind of trick... Could have been wrong though.

And you pretty much get a lot of mails if you just put up a picture.

You don't have to pay to join, but if you don't pay, you can't do anything there. Can't even reply to emails. And the pros there make it a point to send you emails to tempt you to join so you can reply.

It looked interesting at first. I liked the fact that it was entirely femdom oriented, so I wouldn't have to wade through all the other crap that I wasn't interested in. The ability to search for "female lifestyle dominants" apart from "female professional dominants" was attractive, the site appeared to be well-constructed, and it seemed to have a good number of women joining, and lot of potential.

Since the early weeks, though, I haven't seen many new lifestyle dominants on the site, and I'm very reluctant to give them money for what's starting to look like a waste of time. I could be wrong. They seem to be working on regional femdom "parties" and such, activities that could help subs and dominants meet, so who knows? I just don't want to give them money when they won't even let me reply to emails to learn a little more first.

I did sign up for the free portion of their site shortly after my OP, and as you've said, I couldn't do much there.

Within 24 hours, I received several formally worded emails from Dommes encouraging me to upgrade to the pay portion of the site. Being a bit of a skeptic by nature and having a fair amount of experience on other contact-oriented D/s sites, receiving so much attention so soon certainly raised an eyebrow, to say the least.

I'm not accusing them of being less than sincere, but it's sure easy for a guy like me to be skeptical. And as you've said, there's no method of communicating with anyone before paying, so I can't really obtain additional information except from outside sources.

So I'm sort of hoping that someone comes along who has already paid the upgrade fee, and gives us a nice report of their experiences after upgrading.

If I had money to throw around, I would have just quietly signed up, upgraded, and hoped for the best.

If you're talking about the UK FDS run by Lady Sarah, (friend of a friend), then it is genuine.

The FDS I know is based in the southwest of England and runs parties, weekend and week long femdom events in a secluded countryside location, and has affiliations with OKW to where it occasionally organises group visits. But to get an invite to a party or anything more, you have to meet Lady Sarah first as she vets everyone beforehand. The impression I get though is that its mainly orientated around couples rather than singles, and I seem to remember a "no unaccompanied males" policy - but obviously ask!

Indeed, the Society does seem structured. Some structure and protocol wouldn't bother me, though anything less than complete honesty would.

I haven't seen any mention of a Lady Sarah yet, but I haven't seen all there is to see yet either. Anyway, here's the site, if it helps:

I joined, and it is a waste. Even as a femdomme, I was spoken down to by the upper members because I didnt take part in the pleasure of their lectures and educational oppertunities. I have no interest in letting them tell me how to be dominant their way, my way is working just fine.

I would imagine that structure which interferes with a Lady's way of doing things might not go over too well in many cases!

I'm curious though, does the Society charge the Ladies to upgrade too?

I joined and was annoyed that there is no option to be listed as a switch.  However, I put a profile up anyway. But if the site is as everyone says it is, ie you can't do jack shit unless you pay, then it's most likely a waste of money. Nothing wrong with pay dating sites, but anyone that beasically says you can't even talk to people without paying is BS. Especially if the target audience, men, get responses INSTANTLY from women asking them join; a clasisc ploy to get money from desperate men. Happens too much with dating sites.

You're most welcome Kinkbound - sorry to say I have no idea about this particular society, but put it this way - its the sort of website that makes me think "ker-ching!" (the sound of an old fashioned cash till).

I couldnt say, I lost interest too quickly after getting emails telling me the only way I can advance and get more privileges is to attend their classes and the like. I dont know if there are fees for the site itself or just for the classes.

I sort of had "ploy for the desperate" in the back of my mind after I received those messages, but wanted to bounce it off the boards here to see what others had to say.

Unfortunately, I'm old enough to well-remember those cash tills, or cash registers as they were called here in the Midwestern US.

There are classes for male subs too. The first class is free. Upgraded membership is required for all subsequent classes. Perhaps it's the same for the Ladies too.

if I am not mistaken, the female dominants are encouraged to write the male submissives to encourage them to join, by a point system, the femdoms earn points for every sucker......errr sub they get to sign up. the more points you have the more promoted on the web site you get and you get special titles bestowed on you. Both males and females are encouraged and battered into taking and paying for cyber classes.
