Inform your dominant what is occuring this time of the month and what you are often like.  Explain what can be expected and go from there.

Midol.....and when that doesn't do the trick, I stay away from people.  That time of the month makes me cranky, ready to pick fights (with anyone), and occasionally homicidal.   It's not a fun time.....

I don't know if this is an option for you, but hormonal birth control worked wonderfully for me. Everything is much lighter--virtually no cramps, no moodiness, no random crying jags. When I was younger it used to be so bad that I would have to skip school, but since being on the pill it's something that hardly even registers.

Good evening!
Lots and lots of hot showers with scented lotion afterwards, like vanilla or chocolate. That way I can just smell my hand or arm and re-laxxxxx. ::laughs:: Daddy takes extra care during this time, more cuddles, more changes in my diet really. And concentrating on eating properly really does get me thru it. Just thank the gods that you do not have a condition that I have. For the last 18 months the doctors kept thinking I had yeast infections, like twice a month!! Finally, during this 6 months of Diflucan therapy and charting my pain, turns out that I am hypersensitive to the changes in my vaginal secretions AND have thin walls. So about a week before my time. I start getting pain whch means no -NO!!!! touchy!! nononononoooo!!! Something probably due to perimenopause but poor Daddy has to wait thru 2 weeks of "don't even think about it!"
After a 18 months of this pain, I would trade it all for the moodiness with a HUGE smile on my face. Good luck.
Love,
Zechriel

I am lucky that my sadistic top is my (as I say now) soon to be my no longer ex husband.  He knows me like no one else.  That time is no big deal for him.   He gets me some aleve, green tea and potato chips.  I get some heavy whipping, wonderful aftercare & major cuddles.  Yes, he'll deny it, but he is one of the "Fluffy Sadists".

I don't get cranky every month, but about every 3-4 months, I do. I have learned to closely monitor my mood, and keep control of my tongue so that I do not burst out with something inappropriate when I am with MasterK. It hasn't been easy, but I just very carefully watch what I say.

The worst is the feeling of wanting to burst into tears for no apparent reason, I absolutely hate that.

I've done some pretty stupid things while PMSing (haircuts, piercings, adopting animals and one full grown guy)...my latest feats seem to be nesting and masochism.  But not in that order and not at the same time!    And then I want extreme sex and snuggling.

So any suggestions are welcome - I like the M & M idea but like persephonee I wouldn't get the bag home before they would be gone -  even if I had to drive around the block a few times!  I will try the B-vitamin theory too...I know B's help the moods.

Hand over the chocolate and nobody gets hurt!

I am thankfully past this now, but my problem was that I didn't recognize it. The first time he mentioned it I nearly burst into tears because he hadn't brought it to my attention. I couldn't do anything to help it if I didn't recognize I had a problem. Like a lot of women, I would be sleepless the first couple of nights.

The best thing is to tell him how you feel, and do less. He would have me lay down with my head in his lap and nap for a while. He also made sure I ate.

I don't fall victim to my hormones on a regular basis, since I am as irregular as a calendar with a few pages missing.  I also don't find myself "bitchy" very often either, but instead super duper loving and sensitive, I nest (read: rabid housecleaning), and I am horny as hell.  The bitch side comes out only every few months or so.  Then it's "watch out!!"

But when this does happen, I will try the primrose oil.  Is this something one can find at Walgreens?  I hope so.  I love Walgreens.

I have done the B-vitamin thing to keep me perky during the day, I will have to try that for my monthlies.  I find copious amounts of caffiene helps me, even though my doctor would probably put on a frowny face at that.

So glad I am not alone in my reactions.   I like to pamper myself a little more; pedicure, home facial, etc.  Lots of sleep and I let things slide that can wait.

monywildcat...

Any pharmacy will stock primrose oil, well they do in the UK, not sure where you are, i use them all the time, they are really good not only for that dreaded time of the month, but since taking them my skin has improved also. Wonder if that could be the new regime with other products...goes off muttering and wondering.

Orgasm can help with cramps.  If you can get yourself into the mood.

I'm taking a whole foods based liquid vitamin that has all sort of supplements in it. It has improved my moods over all, but helps a lot with that time.

I would like to hear more from any woman who has increased the B-complex as to exactly what B's and how much.  And if it is indeed helpful with PMS/cramps.

*fast reply*

I get the worse cramps ever.  To the point all I want to do is roll up into a ball and wish the day would get over already.  Sir knows I get moody and have a bad time with my monthly.  When I go to the OBGYN this month I'm going to talk about changing my birth control or getting something for my cramps. Midol does not touch the pain most of the time for me.

Cuddling up beside Sir and using his heat is one of the best things for my cramps. Very relaxing and lets me know he loves me even when Im all bitchy. I'm blessed to have a understanding partner. Thank you Sir for putting up with this sometimes emotional girl.

WOW. Ladies thanks for all of the great ideas. I wasn't even the one who started tihs thread but I was just asking myself about this very topic last night. I added primrose oil and B12 to grocery list this week! Wish me luck!

Chocolate helps me, the darker the better.  I let my Dominant know that's where I am in my cycle and he is understanding about it. I also keep reminding myself that menstruation is no excuse for bad behavior.

This leans right into my wishful-thinking theory that every femsub should have more balance in her life. For a few days each month, she should become a femdom. Yes, that's right. Think how easy it would be to find a willing malesub on the side to help her deal with her monthly issues.

She could have him give her plenty of massages and oral servitude to help her with those nasty cramps and aggressive feelings. She could also have him clean and cook for her too, of course. Then, when she's past her monthly issues, she can send him on his way with instructions to return the following month. She'd be free to continue being the obedient little femsub that she wants to be.
