And this one time, at band camp... I used a latex rubber on her when we first got together and didnt realize it. Her stuff swelled shut. It was bad.

Ow! *crosses her legs together in sympathy*

Now I'm thinking about my bits swelling shut and ow ow ow ow ow I think I need a pack of ice or something.

How long did it take for her to deflate and recover?? And I take it that's the first she knew about being allergic to latex?

Meh. I grabbed the wrong condoms. About 6 hours till she could pee again.

While pet might enjoy latex when its hot, I enjoy when its cool and just about chilly.  I love when the latex heats up to body temperature, a nice chilly breeze runs over my body, then if its getting too cold I stand in the sun for a few moments and warm back up to perfection. I especially love the sound it makes during every movement one makes. As pet mentioned I purchased a catsuit yesterday and cannot wait till its arrival! If I could work everyday in it I would in a heartbeat. Plus nothing is better than coming home to a rubber clad slave bound in muiltiple layers waiting for my orders, tending to my every need and desire, just for my pleasure. Thought I'd add my two cents in to this post. ~Lorelei

The shiny-ness of latex and pvc and whatnot always catches my eye, but the biggest turn off I get from those?  Those squeaky noises it makes sometimes when people move around.  Especially when they make elegant outfits out of the stuff... the noise ruins the image as a whole.

I love that noise, it's part of the turn on for me especially if the person is struggling in it. I guess I have some different association with the material going on in my mind than other people do. That is normal no?

The op seems to be about how personal preference is personal, kind of obvious and goes without saying.

Not to correct Master..but, rather, to clarify.  It was a latex cock ring that W/we didn't realize was latex until it was too late.  (W/we thought it was silicone, i believe.)  Had it been a latex condom the end result would have been much worse.  Been there; done that and don't care to relive it even in memory.  Suffice it to say that afterwards my parents had no doubt that i had reached the age of sexual experimentation...but at least i was being "smart".  LOL (groan)

Hmm - it's definitely each to his/her own on this one. Myself, I appreciate the burlesque look with lacy fabric, have a weakness for sheer chiffon, enjoy the look of PVC and the smell of leather - but nothing quite hits the spot like latex - not an all enclosing suit, but a girl in a blouse, or pencil skirt that shimmers and shines, and stretches with every move - and somehow that smell and feel are hardwired in my brain somewhere - maybe it's an early association between latex condoms and sex...

I was thet ype of child who would go to the fabric stores with my mom and while she shopped I'd feel up all the velvets and satins and the plush and the chenell. I have teddy bears and other stuffed toys today as an adult at age 26, that appealed to me cause they were soft and adorable looking. I usualy shout oh look look Daddy!

How many of us, for example, see something very soft and cuddly in a store and go running over just to feel up the mannequin? God knows, I do, usually squealing like an idiot and yelling "FUZZY!!!!!!!!!!" on the way over.

Fetish fashion and  fun kink wear  is very subjective , you like it , you look yummy in it  wear it and enjoy it .I however also have to place  somewhat of a season ,on the fact i can not  wear  certain items here in the  land of fried sidewalk eggs , as Arizona  is often set on broil .Spontaneous combustion while in full leathers , rubber or latex is never pretty .
I know for me if it does not fit me well i just will not but it nor wear it , nobody wants to see me looking like and over stuffed sausage , no matter how shiny it is and great to the touch .
The other point is  function , if you can not function and need a team to help you go to the bathroom at an event  it can be a challenge .Plan ahead too , I was to meet some people at an event two of the women  were  more than 2 hours  late .I asked  what happened was everything ok  etc . They told the story of how they dressed and did the  make up and hair  and one of the first things they did was put on the  rubber catsuit and latex dress  with corsets  first , did everything  and neither of them  could get on the foot wear .So they had to remove and redress in a more logistical way , then once they got there  though they looked amazing , they could not sit .  It s very fun to dress  but  think ahead about the event and climate and mobility  for those long crowded events .
Again i do have to state you Women have SO many choices  your very lucky .

There is a phrase we Brits use about each other....
Fur coat no knickers
it's about looking like an aristo on the outside but being a slut underneath and is not really a reference to the climate....
there are quite a few other colloquialisms......
red hat no drawers is another....off topic lol sorry....

Personally...

Can't do the latex. I'm allergic... not highly (for instance, anal sex with a condom will be perfectly alright, unless he's planning to keep going for a half an hour straight with no pause in motion and very little lube) but enough that, were I'd to wear something latex (say... gloves, for instance) for long enough my skin would literally start to peel away and bleed. Yeah, it's not so glorious. I've found that I can't really blow up balloons for long periods of time because this happens to my lips, too.

But... I DO like leather (collars, generally, or nice leather clothing) it just never comes in my size (You try finding size humungotall leather pants). I like collars and things of that sort, but full-out fetish gear is likely out for me (especially 'cause I don't like to spend tons of money on clothings)

On a dom... ooooooh boy, it's so loaded. I love to see men who can turn ordinary, or dressed up into fetish stuff :) THAT is my biggest like when it comes to apparel.

On women I like cloth. Lots and lots of cloth! Throw some lace and a corset in there somewhere... oooh, maybe a hoop too!

EDIT: When will I learn to preview

Rubberwear is not for the squeamish.  It is a fetish that is not for the lazy or narrow-minded.  Rubber fetishwear takes a lot of time and effort to care for.  It is tight, restrictive, and hot.  It usually takes a lot of time and effort to dress in it, too.  For the ones who view the dressing part as being just as sensual and exciting as wearing it are the true rubber connoisseurs.  I believe we connoisseurs have a heightened sense of sort, that we feel something both inside and out that most people don't and probably will never understand.  For us, wearing rubber has a sensual and psychological impact on both the mind and body.

For us die-hard rubber lovers out here, it doesn't matter how much time and effort it takes to dress, undress, re-dress, and care for our rubber, the end results are more than worth it.  Hell, lock me in rubber and throw away the key!!!

Uh, wait a sec...hold on!  Mistress, please ignore that last part.  I was just kidding!  I was caught up in the moment and I don't know what came over me...

i have always ADORED black leather, rubber or pvc on a Lady.

It just looks so powerful.....indeed powerful enough to nearly have me tongue tied and on my knees.

Shiny boots too - yummi.

Of course, maintenance of rubber is difficult - and wearing it also makes life for the wearer a very hot and sticky experience.

PVC can tear quite easily.

It's hard to beat power fetish attire tho.
