softenedstone -> Submissive/Slave Community? (10/5/2008 5:25:50 PM)

Hello there A/all-

i don't mean any disrespect to any Dominants, but i was wondering if there was any kind of submissive online community. it'd be nice to be able to find persons to relate to and ask questions as a newbie-ish person to the community. there are just a bunch of things that it'd be nice to be able to ask about that i'm not always sure how to go about asking...

any suggestions? or anyone who's looking for a friend?
stone

Hello Stone and welcome to the forum!  Look no further, you have found one such community.  [:)]

I am sure there are others...so uh...so perhaps you might want to look further...but don't go away!  Good bunch here, seriously.  [;)]

There isn't a specific community within CM that I know of. Of course, sometimes to post a question you need to be a thick skinned at times regarding the replies you might receive. Overall the posters are warm and friendly and give genuine advice. You will at times find them in a playful mood and as you read the forums and get to know them you can get a feel for them and won't be so offended by their 'playful' remarks. You can always feel free to send a private email to another sub/slave and see if leads to ongoing support. I know one in particular that I consider a friend and is willing to help anyone out. If you do a search in the forums by her name of Chambermaid I think you might find the post that states she is willing to answer questions in private.

Hi softenedstone,

The SEARCH function is your friend - don't be afraid to poke around in the old threads for information.

And Irishmist wasn't kidding about that biting... ;-)    Just take everything in the spirit it's intended.  For the most part I've found this site to be quite understanding, patient and welcoming.

Cm is fairly good and like the others have said,  just prowl around and you'll find many are open to answering your questions.
There is a yahoo message board that is decent and discussions rarely get out of control click here

Welcome Stone.... here is as good a place as any to ask those questions that are burning away inside you.... As someone else said you may not always like the response you get but often the ones that challenge your thinking are the most useful....

Bon chance and look forward to hearing more from you in the forums!

As far as finding someone to talk to without putting it all out on the boards, read the boards and see who seems to see things the way that resonates with you. And then write and ask if she would answer a question or give her opinion. I find most people are happy to offer advice to someone who tells them how much she admires how they think.

But you need to realize that if there is no response it could be because they have their mail filters set so you don't come through.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Submissive/Slave Community? (10/8/2008 9:17:28 AM)

All biting aside, which we can get to later, if you have questions and you dont want all and sundry reading them, then politely mail a sub you have read posts from and ask if you can ask them the question. Fox and I run a yahoo group semi-tailored to newbie people local to us for that very reason. And sometimes asking someone more experienced, on either side of the whip, can help. Just be polite when asking if you cna get information from them and you can find your way around.'
