The President is never really in charge. He is often a figurehead driven by others, making compromises in the hopes of getting the most good done. I wanted to be a politician until I found out it doesn't really matter what your ideals are because to get what you think is best for the people you have to barter by taking a stand by a few bad causes. I couldn't stomach that.

Well the link in your post seems to suggest that the Illuminati are in charge of things. So I guess you think Obama is the Illuminati's chosen guy this go around. I wasn't aware that the Illuminati were particularly interested in the re-partition of Israel and Palestine. But I don't really follow the New-World Order conspiracy theories that much. Hey is Obama a reptilian alien hybrid like the British Royal family and the Bushes too?

I'm still waiting to see which candidate the aliens will be endorsing in this election. Ah, I so miss the Weekly World News. They were always "in the know" on this kind of thing.

I was amazed that apparently it was Dubya's decision to bomb Iraq. Would have thought that there would be advisors saying 'steady George, we'll let you know when to wave or kiss a baby'

Ultimately no one is really in charge - there are just lots of people with varying degrees of influence, not the least of whom are those who trade on the stock exchange, major employers and other wealthy influence groups - often from totally outside the orbit of influence of any politican.

Yes, the President and other reps get to choose the playing field, and they may or may not empower the umpires, but in the end the players on the field determine how the game goes.
