VirginPotty -> Hamburgers in the making (10/7/2008 8:22:18 AM)

A man walks into a hamburger shop and orders a regular meal. Later, the waitress brings his meal to him. He takes a bite out of it, and notices there's a small hair in the hamburger. He begins yelling frantically at the waitress, "Waitress, there's a hair in my hamburger! I demand to see what is going on!"
So, the waitress takes him back where the cook is and to his demise, he sees the cook take the meat patty and flatten it under his arm pit. He says, "That's disgusting!"

Then the waitress jokes, "You think that's disgusting you should see him make donuts."

I always say that if I can help somebody as I pass along then my living has not been in vain.
Demise means death.

Well, if it was your hamburger, and you had had donuts there for breakfast, might the cook meet his demise?

To be honest, the word is use wrong and was probably intended to be 'despair' and not 'demise'.  But, in the end; it's a freakin' joke.

If the cook is making doughnuts, I guess he makes some cream filled, too.  If that isn't bad enough, I'd hate to see what the waitress fills them with when she's on her period!  I bet that ain't strawberry jam!  [&:]

For clarification demise:

demise noun 1. failure, end, fall, defeat, collapse, ruin, breakdown, overthrow, downfall, dissolution, termination noun 2. (Euphemistic) death, end, dying, passing, departure, expiration, decease

Although demise is not the best term it is also one that can still be used in the sentence.

It does my heart good to see people arguing about the stuff an English teacher would correct!!! HEHEHE!!!  Joke's funny too... lol

DefiantFlower -> RE: Hamburgers in the making (10/14/2008 11:13:57 PM)

Um, I could be wrong here, but I think they're called donut holes because they're made from the pieces that are punched out of the original donuts. Thus the hole of the donut...

scifi1133 -> RE: Hamburgers in the making (10/15/2008 2:08:31 AM)
