Besides the two running now, living or dead, who would it be? Bonus points for why you would.

I'd vote for myself. I think my brilliant ideas and blatant violence would do this country good. In the coming weeks I will reveal my "path to a new america"

i would vote for the Bozo the Clown/Cookie presidental tix

why - there would be a daily grand prize game on the south lawn and Wizzo could use his charm from Arabia to handle foreign affairs.

bipolarber -> RE: If you could vote for anyone (10/8/2008 8:03:38 AM)

Martin Sheen?
James Mason?
Kirk Douglas (in his prime)
The only guy I'd vote for at this point would be Ceasar Caligula... "change we can believe in!"

Henry Ford

If you think about what he did, you would probably agree. He knew how to start, build and run a successful business. This is more than can be said for most contenders for the big chair in the past few decades.

Think of the planning and thought that must have went into building the first complete auto assembly line. It had never been done. Sure he built on others' work, like Leland's standardization of parts, and there were some assembly lines in existence, but he was the first to apply the technology to the manufacture of automobiles, thus making them affordable and at the same time paying considerably more to the employees than the norm at the time, AND making a profit.

Forget the fact that he was buddies with Hitler, so was Bush's Grandfather. Look at the Man's accomplishments and compare them to the politicians we have today. Most of them aren't qualified to run a lemonade stand.
