Status: offline 		Wondering where the cities with the most single people are in the US? Maybe thinking about moving to try your luck elsewhere?  Or maybe you have a new job opportunity or transfer.
 
Try San Francisco, Detriot, New York, Boston and New Orleans.
 
What about the highest percentage of couples?
McAllen, Texas; Lake County, Illinois; Nassau, New York; Edison, New Jersey and Poughkeepsie, New York.
 
What about the largest gender gap?  McAllen Texas and El Paso Texas.
 
The cities with the closest ratio of gender?  Warren Michigan and Minneapolis, Minnesotta.

I'm single, and I've been considering moving.  I couldn't afford San Francisco or New York.  I have zero interest in Detroit.  I don't know why anyone would want to move there.  I've never been to Boston, and I've never had a real interest in visiting.  New Orleans.....I've been there pre-Katrina and wasn't impressed.  It was hot, humid, dirty, and the smells can get quite ripe on a hot summer evening.

Status: offline 		As much as I hate to come up with a flippant or sarcastic answer, possibly areas with previously high marriage rates.

Kidding aside though, if you are on CM, it is likely that you are not just looking for singles, you are looking for singles with at least an open mind. Vanilla and stuck that way is a bad way in which to find that "someone".

Personally, I would think thirty minutes within any medium to large size metro area would be a good choice for a single person. Of course, every place is ''themed'' a certain way - and as long as you can fit within the confines of that theme, one would greatly increase their chances for success.

Wanders, you are so gorgeous.  What the hell is wrong with Australian men?  OMG, the men in Australia must be morons.  I really wish I was in better financial straits.  A ticket to Melbourne is about $4K.  Ahem....if you come up here, you can see middle America without motel bills, restaurant bills, or car rental.  *smiles*
