http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081010/ap_on_el_pr/palin_oil_exports

"Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, touted by GOP presidential candidate John McCain as his expert on energy, seemed to have problems Thursday explaining whether the government bans oil exports — especially from her state's North Slope fields."

....oh dear, and you'd think that she would have a better than usual knowledge of this subject........

We will miss this comedic genius once the election results send her back to Juno.

I read the link you posted and I can't find the "error" you see in Sarah Palin's response to the question.  I believe she= was quoted..and quotes from the AP have to be double checked, as saying she believed there were strict rules with respect to Alaska exporting oil.
Actually, Alaskan oil is primarily a domestic U.S. product.   The Trans-Alaska Pipeline Authorization Act of 1973, effectively requires that Alaskan oil be consumed domestically, not exported. As a result, petroleum development on the Alaskan North Slope and in California  as well..has been greatly restrained.

If you have any other links  would love to see them.  In the interim, it seems to me that the AP reporter probably did not listen closely in the rush to get a "gotcha" on Sarah.  We are in the crazy season.

So when Sarah Barracuda screws up on a nationally broadcast interview it is a "gotcha question" at the root of the problem.when she does it in Podunk Wisconsin it is a case of a reporter misquoting her in an attempt to supply a "gotcha" quote.....Gotcha Cory,it would seem you would be happier if they would just stop asking her questions..perhaps if the media would supply her people the questions beforehand, all this would go away?

Actually, don't mind the questions being askd Sarah, as much as I do mind the questions not being asked Barack.  You are a Barack supporter...I wonder how much you really no about the man that was not in his memoirs, assuming you read the memoirs...and you should since there might be a quiz.

It's fine to pepper Sarah Palin with questions...parse every word and burp that come from her mouth...but Barry..hey..he is "above being asked questions"!  Its not your fault..the media has buried anything untoward about their guy.  He keeps saying.."I was only eight whe Ayers was bombing the Capital"...really? An how old was he when Bill Ayers put him in charge of the Anneberg Challane Foundation he started and made Barack the Chairman of theFoundation....just casual friends?  How oldas Barack when he went to Ayers home where his "neighbor" Bill hosted a fund raiser for the rising star...justs casual friend? Barack as State Senator had Illinois tax payer money directed in grants to that same foundation....just casual friends!  Damn, I wish I had that kind of casual friend.  What make this relationship a deal breaker for Barack is that "he was not eight years old when all this was going on with Ayers, an unrepented terrorist who stated within the past few years that he was sorry he did not do more!!  Barack has known this guy for years on an intimate level, he knew Jerimia Wright on an intimate level but did not know what he was saying for twenty years.... Yea...sure!  Betcha Michelle knew with the old Pastor was saying and bought it all..hook, line and sinker..

Guess I'm old fashiond...I kinda believe that "birds of a feather" thingy....Be well...
