I got the switches too, Sambas... and one of them who said he wanted to know all about me I actually repsonded to, saying "all you need to know about me is that I am getting married" Imagine my surprise when I got a response! "awww thats great! Can we chat as friends?" I told him thanks, but I'm a bit too busy right now.. good luck in your search.

OK, this didn't happen today, but it's been buggin the hell out of me so here it goes. I have this "friend" (I've known her for nearly 30 years). As some of you know my Dad passed away on Thanksgiving... and this "friend" took the time to send me a "sincere" TEXT message... yea, something like, "heard about your Dad, sorry." THAT not only made my eyes roll but also made me speechless. Ummmm hello? Since when did texting replace a phone call, or sympathy card, or at least a phucking email. Needless to say, I'm still a bit bitter. girly

I loves the verbal smackdowns. I've even done a couple of physical ones when they weren't focused enough to understand the verbal ones. It usually doesn't have to go that far. I have noticed that if they can look at my face while I'm dressing them down, it's much more effective.

Flatline FOLKS makes so much more sense than Flatline JOKES, which is how I had read it. I had been thinking. . . she doesn't tell jokes well? She gives the punchline as soon as the joke starts? She always plays the straight-man? She never understands jokes? What does it mean to flatline jokes?
