the young lady who was shocked that door entry (to the venue where i was working last night) was only $9 - i should have snapped a pic of the expression plastered on her face upon hearing it. you would have thought my friend/doorman/bouncer said it was $100 to get in.

she didn't stay either but instead entered the swanky club across the street which does have a $50 entry fee.

LLH -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (4/4/2009 6:37:20 AM)

What made me roll my eyes today would have to be someone wanting to stay another night at the hotel I work at paying less than half of the room cost with the promise to come back up later. Honestly, would you go into the grocery store and offer to put $.50 on the milk, take it home and come back later to pay the rest? Who is going to clean that room when he ends up stalling and trying not to pay because it sure won't be me [sm=banghead.gif]

GreedyTop -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (4/4/2009 7:35:56 AM)

oh yeah.. I've had people try to pull that at my hotel too...

My first eye roll of the day from a male dominat.. Why is it that all women over 45 have to write books in their profile?

WTF I have 6 rather short paragraphs, the first being Im taken and not looking, the rest is pretty vanilla generic to keep mail OUT of my box except from friends.

and over 45 again WTF

SteelofUtah -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (4/6/2009 10:36:52 AM)

Eye Roll of the day.

Caller: How long to you warranty your work.
Me: A full year on New Product Installs and 90 days on Labor.
Caller: I had you guys install a door for me 2 years ago but I only moved in last month.
Me: I am sorry Sir our Warranty does not cover anything past the first year of Installation
Caller: But I have only been using it for the last month shouldn't you warranty be from when I took Possession?
Me: Sir you took possession when you paid us for Completion of the job.
Caller: That doesn't sound fair to me, does that sound fair to you?
Me: Honestly sir someone who owns more than one home and is able to have a home that they don't actually move into for two years after it is built is unfair in my eyes. Either way Company Policy is that the Products are under complete warranty for the first year after completion and payment of job which ever comes first.
Caller: Well would you guys come out and take a look?
Me: Yes sir but it will be at our standard rates
~Some Grumbeling and Arguing about our rates and then the customer agrees.~

Two Hours Later.

The door was not ours we did not install it why he thought we did he doesn't know and the reason his door did not work is because he pulled the emergency release and never reconnected it.

Trip for Service: 69.00
Customer having to be explained that the emergency release RELEASES the door from the opener: Priceless

I got that same automated phone call about every-other day for a couple of weeks before I finally listened all the way through, at which time they said that if I didn't want to receive the call any more I should push button ___ (I don't remember which number exactly...I think it was number 1) and they further said it might take up to 3 days to remove my home number from their call list. Several days later...more than 3... I again received the automated call. I don't remember If they gave a number to call in their message or if I just called the number that came up on my caller ID, but a young lady with a very bubbly voice answered and said, "I'm SO glad that you decided to call us....", and that is as far as she got before I laid into her and let her know in no uncertain terms that I was NOT interested in what they were selling, and that I HAD used the push button to stop feature, and that I was STILL getting their calls, and that I DID NOT want to hear anything from them again!!! She appologized and said that my number would be removed immediately. It has been about two weeks and so far I have not received another call.

SavageFaerie -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (4/8/2009 3:03:24 PM)

LOL I got those too. I had to call them and tell them not only did I NOT have a car but have not owned one is over 10 years.

My office got those dumb calls for months.  Finally, I stayed on the phone and pressed enough buttons to get me to a human being.  When the guy asked for my name, I said, "The Law Office of _____________."  He paused and said, "Yes, Ma'am?"  I said, "For months, we've gotten your stupid automated calls on all 4 of our lines and we have had it.  You have yet to remove us from your list and the Senior Attorney here would like to speak to the top of your food chain there because he needs to know who to list on his complaint to the FCC that he's having me send out today."  The guy stammered and said, "Please give me all 4 of your numbers and I will delete them from the list myself."  So, I did, and amazingly... no calls since.  [;)]

Daddysredhead -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (4/11/2009 12:02:31 PM)

My eyes rolled when I opened an email that asked if I would use the guy as a full human ashtray below the belt.  WTF kind of craziness are folks yapping about?  You wanna do something useful for me?  Clean my house.  Hell, clean my ash tray.

*grumbles*

I suppose the crotch shot of him in his jeans is suppose to make me think he has a nice cock. Dude, it's alllllll fabric. Want to impress someone? Show the big one or fuck off.

Pardon me, I'm bitchy and going for the ice cream. bye bye

LadyHibiscus -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (4/12/2009 7:13:02 PM)

Today... just about everything.  I got up from my nap long enough to read some deeply annoying CMails, and am wondering if I go to bed now, will I *snap* awake at 2am?

sunshinemiss -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (4/12/2009 8:27:24 PM)

MidnightKat5000 -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (4/13/2009 10:45:26 PM)

Seeing another call someone "emo".  Even though it was used improperly I still wanted to choke him.

ramina1 -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (4/14/2009 12:04:36 AM)

Getting a phone call today asking me if I would donate money for the National Epilepsy Foundation to help epileptics in this country...going into a big thing about how many epileptics there are out there, blah blah. Then she finally shut up long enough for me to tell her....I have epilepsy. You gonna use the money to help me?

I think that made me both roll my eyes and laugh, its like...good grief your preaching to the wrong person woman. Your telling me all the facts (some actually wrong lol) about epileptics and you have no idea your talking to one that knows more than you. I hate telemarketers and the dumb machines as well! Oh well, it gave me a laugh at least!!

Daddysredhead -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (4/18/2009 9:07:04 PM)

My eyes rolled out of my head, as did Greedy's, when I opened an email and read it which said, "Hello, Sir.  Long time since we last spoke."

I wrote back that I looked at my tits and wondered when someone of my "airbag" size became a Sir.  She apologized and said that she was just looking at pictures and thought I was male and that we had spoken before.

Um... no.  [8|]

BKSir -> RE: What has made your eyes roll today? (4/18/2009 11:13:22 PM)

when I was trying to get out of salt lake city proper and to one of the suburbs which should have been a 20 minute trip TOPS, but took an hour and a half because EVERY FUCKING ROAD was shut off somewhere because of some damned marathon.  Now, if it was just a jaunt, no problem, but it was an awards banquet for the V.A. hospital volunteers.  And of course once we FINALLY get onto the freeway, only THEN do we see a sign about the marathon...  Yeah, real fucking helpful there.  I swear to god if I ever see another marathon runner, they're going to be fender ketchup.
