Yes, I like this phrase as well. Not because of the amount of work, but because "total control" seems to set up this image that doesn't allow for delegation and assignment. Ultimately, I manage or delegate, and what I say (or, in our household, my mate or mates say) is the rule -- this may mean that I do it or tell exactly how it is to -be- done... or it may mean that I delegate it, and all I want to see is the final result, that being what -I- want the final result to be.
So much easier to discuss in the context of a relationship than in the abstract.
