For some reason, the "Mark this forum read" feature is not working in Ask a Mistress. It still works in all the other forums. Anyone else having this problem, or have any idea why it's not working? Never mind - after logging out and back in again, it does work. I'd delete the OP if I could. It's still weird that all the other forums worked fine, but this one didn't.

Different sections of the boards seem to do that to me from time to time. I think it's just a 'glitch' in your cookies or something.

Technology is not always our friend!! This site gets used a lot, it need to rest now and then.

nodding I have that happen in sections occasionally -- not sure why, because other sections 'mark read' just fine.

The site as a whole's stopped me coming on on rare occasions because it's exceeded its limit of visitors. I could imagine that this forum especially would get inundated at times - that could be the problem. I don't think, therefore, that deleting your cookies would help - but worth trying, I guess.

HUH? "Mark this forum read" ? Please explain this feature for those of us who are a little behind the learning curve. What are you talking about?

After clicking on "Ask a Mistress", in the main forum window, before selecting a topic, look at the top right. Below the "Collarchat.com" title and main commands (Home, Login, ... Log Out), but above the individual topics and the Filter: You have the options to "Subscribe" or "Mark this forum read". Marking it read will allow you to easily identify any new posts, so you don't have to waste time weeding through the old ones that you aren't interested in.
