thornhappy -> Fox News - Obama doc last week. (10/13/2008 5:01:59 PM)

Last week a "documentary" was shown (Hannity hosted) about Obama, and it was bullshit.  And I do mean that.  It was bogus, and the guy who was listed as the expert is a fool.

There's an article about in today's NYTimes (which may do nothing to convince some Republicans here.)  I first saw critiques of this program in Salon, over the weekend.

"...Until this month, the man who is widely credited with starting the cyberwhisper campaign that still dogs Mr. Obama was a secondary character in news reports, with deep explorations of his background largely confined to liberal blogs. But an appearance in a documentary-style program on the Fox News Channel watched by three million people last week thrust the man, Andy Martin, and his past into the foreground. The program allowed Mr. Martin to assert falsely and without challenge that Mr. Obama had once trained to overthrow the government...."

Dern...missed the show.  Sounds a bit over the top.. "Obama training to overthrow the government"...even I don't believe that, unless the context was that the ACORN people and/or the Olinsky followers have a commitment to change the system of government and ultimate re-distribution of wealth.
Is there a link?

I'm surprised that anyone listens to that guy anymore.  I mean it's Sean Hannity... he's a few steps down from Geraldo Rivera.

You folks may be too young to remember the Muskie letter. Lies from start to finish, complete fabrication---but the electorate bought it, and Muskie went back to Maine.

People are stupid. Really, really stupid. They don't give a shit about facts, and they don't mind voting against their own best interests.

I've tried a bit to find it, but it doesn't seem to be on the more recent lists.

I saw part of it. It had the stink of desperate propaganda. The fact than Hannity was hosting it on the FOX (unfair and mentally unbalanced) News channel was the tip off that it was a peice of utter shit.

BTW, as of Monday night, it's estimated that Obama is 100 electoral votes ahead.

Indeed. I have also trained to overthrow the government here, and participated in various actions designed at just that end.

With a number of others, I executed plans to have the populace assemble at a certain place on a certain time, where by collective means we would attempt to achieve change of government.

I think it was called an election campaign or some such
