Hey all dominant and submissive adherents and life-stylers. I got the impression that many mistresse's want's a tribute in form of money/gifts, but I don't have the same impression when it comes to Master's. I'm not experienced in BDSM but i'm just curious why i got this impression. Maybe you guy's could explain to me. I've seen some really weird prices for Webcamming, IM, Telephone contact, emails and so forth. I could understand a BDSM session would cost money, but that's like any other job just a different jobsegment. Paying for your dom's expensives could show a certain devotion I guess but I don't see how that is important in a early stage. English is not mymother-language so this might look like an 12-year old wrote it, i hope you understand. =) /Alex.

Everyone's different, what can I say? But it does remind me of a Dom I knew once who worked the other way. He insisted that the clothing his sub wore, the toys she played with etc. were all purchased by him. He told me its the way he first got into BDSM with a sub who insisted on those rules, she even had her own account with an online fetish clothing store, so he could pay online and forward the things direct. Is that tribute to a sub?

i live with mine, so its so called 'free' for me lol puppy for xmas $350 best present prize to sub and subsequent rewards = priceless!

In our culture males are expected to give more direct material goods as a show of their worth and ability to produce. Females are more indirect. Male doms usually want things like sex or for the woman to wear a sexy outfit and perform on cam and such for them. And there are plenty who do not ask for or require tribute at all.

I will admit that I have a wish list, but you don't see me shouting about it all over the place. I have had people offer (and even insist) on giving me something, so i send them to my wish list.

I once heard/read (cannot vouch for it's trustworthyness) that there are 300 submissive men for every dominant woman - supply / demand - creates a market. There are also women who decide to sexually sell themselves (outside of d/s). they have lots of customers too (we had a massage parlour next door at one time). It's one of the few areas that women make more money than men. This is obviously not the case for every dominant woman, however, it certainly has it's fair share of the market. D (owner of j).
