You obviously missed how Obama positively did say that he was raised in a racist family.

Is it possible that you are projecting your own family history unto Obama? Perhaps you have unresolved issues that you need to deal with. Whatever the case may be, my take on things is that Obama will win this election despite the colour of skin, and certainly not because of it, by transcending the barrier of race. There will always be hysteria surrounding historical change such as the one we are going to witness. But in the end, it's for the best, you'll see.

however, what I found most interesting when trying to search the demographics contained in the polls was the lack of a source willing to document what the plurality is.

Merc, You're not trying very hard. Gallup has their daily polling broken down by race available every single day. It's two clicks from Gallup.com.
http://www.gallup.com/poll/108040/Candidate-Support-Race.aspx

Sincere thanks for that DK. I'm keeping that link. ummm 91% - I don't think you  could get 91% of any other demographic group to be so lock step on any issue.

I do see one validation for the result. Blacks have supported the Democratic Party forever, so there is a traditional basis for their voting block. Having a person who has 1/2 of his genetic background and who has identified with that half of his parentage I can appreciate generating a greater plurality. However 91%? I don't think my demographic identity, Italian, would have a 91% result regarding how their favorite pasta sauce should be prepared!

I must have put the wrong parameters into google search. Either that or too focused on getting away to Vegas tomorrow.

Again - !

What are you going to do with the Black Republicans?

Or folks like Coin Powell, who is as Conservative as they come.

Don't know why I would want or need to do anything with them? However, I'd imagine they would be in represented in that remaining 9%.

However, based upon how they are referenced regarding their race by members of it, they fall into the same category as Governor Palin. She can't be a 'feminist' and they can't really be 'Black' and be conservative.

Not mine, but the chairman of the NAACP.

No film, but no mindless rhetoric either, only reference.

There's an old saying in the days of slavery. There are those slaves who lived on the plantation, and there were those slaves who lived in the house. You got the privilege of living in the house if you served the master. Colin Powell was permitted to come into the house of the master.

. As reported by WorldNetDaily, Bond's comments came during a February 1 speech at Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, North Carolina.  Bond is said to have called Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and predecessor Colin Powell "tokens."

But if that's so, why the backlash against other successful African-Americans like Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice? African-American columnist Larry Elder writes in the Jewish World Review:

"Look at the treatment of prominent black Republicans like National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice and Secretary of State Colin Powell. Liberal critics pull no punches in using race to criticize them. Political cartoonists Pat Oliphant and Jeff Danziger drew political cartoons accentuating Dr. Rice's black features and depict her speaking in rural Southern dialect. Garry Trudeau referred to her as Brown Sugar in his comic strip, Doonesbury. Cartoonist Ted Rall suggested she was President Bush's house nigga and recommended racial re-education."

How would the cartoon strips and other references be received if they were pointed at Senator Obama? Will he, the NAACP, the media, or Harry Belefonti accept, as a friendly joking, 'just kidding', 'all's fair in politics and political cartoon' nickname 'President Nigga'?

I'm sorry, but I can agree to disagree with you all on political views...but find it diffiuclt to discuss views with people who are either stupid or too ideological in their point of view to conduct a constructive arguement.  Listing committees...gimme a break.. you should be able to do better than that!  Tell us what the hell this guy DID on these commitees..or just sit quietly in the corner and listen and learn from the big boys.  You offer nothing!....just as Obama offers nothing..but rhetoric.

Well, this is the second time I've posted this for you.  You only have to follow the links and do a little research to have all the answers to the questions you incessantly ask.

I have to wonder though, why you can make constant unsubstantiated claims while claiming those with opposing viewpoints offer nothing?  Even though you present no documentation and apparently don't bother to read anything that isn't in agreement with your views.

Frankly, I would like to think that whomever wins will win because Americans who voted thought about what they were doing first.

We could elect a box of rocks and we'd be better off than the current administration.

For a really good electoral map that is based on state-by-state polling data rather than the national polls, please see this link. It contains information about Senate and House races as well.

Man, shame that's not one of the options. I'd vote for a box of rocks over either of the current candidates.
I can just imagine the slogans now:
"A Box of Rocks, finally a candidate that won't act against our best interests"
"Vote for A Box of Rocks, and say NO to special interest groups"

I ask a young african american woman at the gas pump why she was voting for obama.
her response? "because he's black" I ask if she knew any of his positions or voting records.
I got told to shut up and that I was just a fucking white boy trying to pull "them" down.
how charming. and how shitty for our "republic"

You think that is only because she was young and black?

I watched Larry King the other night.  His show was on Hollywood and politics.  One of the guests was Dean Cain.

He supported McCain but had absolutely no idea what the issues in the campaign were or why he was voting for him other than he "liked him".

He then went on to give his theory that most Americans only vote for who they like and, just like him, really don't understand the issues.

Can we throw the rocks at Senators who put unwanted crap on needed legislation?  If we can, I'm changing my vote right now.

Interesting read from that link

Obama told the radio host, "The point I was making was not that Grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn't. But she is a typical white person, who, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know, you know, there's a reaction that's been bred in our experiences that don't go away and that sometimes come out in the wrong way, and that's just the nature of race in our society."

Would it have made you any happier had I said, "The Obama campaign's recent $800,000.00 contribution to ACORN, and his work with the Annenburg foundation?

Perhaps those words would have been more pleasing to your sensitive palate.

From your own link:

"During the primary season earlier this year, Obama's campaign paid roughly $800,000 to a firm affiliated with ACORN to help with get-out-the-vote drives in several states. But Plouffe said the firm did not do any voter registration work."

I've also asked you before why his affiliation with Annenberg is a negative?  It is a non-profit, non-partisan organization.

It does provide funding to Factcheck, but again, why is that negative?  Factcheck is widely respected as a non-partisan source that has been cited by conservative media sources regularly.  They ctiticize Obama as often as every other candidate.
