In Sept 2007, I was marked with Chinese Hanzi symbols as  *****'s slave on my left upper thigh anterolaterally almost at the very top.

My Tattoo reads:
Reborn October 29, 2004
[Crossed Rifles]
Infantry Leads the Way

The Oct 29, 2004 is when I graduated Infantry School
The Crossed Rifles are the emblem of the US Army Infantry
The phrase is pretty much straight forward.

As part of formalizing and consummating our relationship I got the Chinese character for 'Master' http://z.about.com/d/chineseculture/1/0/l/-/master.gif (The one on the left.) placed on my left arm; beth got the character for slave http://z.about.com/d/chineseculture/1/0/k/f/slave.gif (The one on the left) at the base of her spine.

We'd like to get a few more. First, beth would like to get a chain tattoo on her ankle with my name on it. I'd like to get one of her picture underneath the symbol I have on my arm.

You should look up Kat Von D!  (LA Ink)  She does absolutely awesome portrait work.

My first tattoo is of the letters USA with 3 small stars under it in an arc over my left ankle bone.  The USA are in red, white, and blue, respectively, and the little stars are yellow.  I got that one right after 9/11.

My next tattoo is on my right back shoulder is of a small Christmas tree with a heart as the tree-topper.  This one is for my kids.  Thing 1 was born right before Valentine's Day and Thing 2 was born on Christmas Day.

My third tattoo is a small St. George's cross on my left breast, near my heart, because I am a Christian.

My last tattoo was originally two intertwined gold wedding bands.  Shortly after I got it, my (then) husband and I decided to separate.  I met Daddy, found out about this lifestyle and embraced it, and changed the wedding bands into the handcuffs that are in my profile pictures.  My ex asked why I changed it to handcuffs, so I told him that he turned our marriage into a life sentence, so I made the tattoo representative.   (The law enforcement friends I have think it's because I appreciate what they do for a living.  I just let people make up their own minds.)

The newest one is a memorial for my grandmother (pic is on my profile).  I decided to go old school, since it suits her personality, and the iconography of the swallow and the cherries suits her!  Plus, she loved birds, and the cherry motif.  When I can afford it, there will be a wreath of roses around it as well.

The cheetah on the back of my neck is a protective symbol, an "eyes in the back of my head" thing.  I've always admired cheetahs, for their beauty of course, and because they have become so genetically similar they are virtually clones.

The small neo tribal piece on my ankle is representative of the much more extensive neotribal work that I will get someday... in henna color, not blackwork.

My first is encircles my right ankle, my daughter's name written in tag with wings and a halo, the wings are joined by a circle that contains my clean date.  It reminds me daily of the most important piece of my heart, why I got clean in the first place, and should I ever be tempted to relapse, who will be hurt the most by my actions.  My sponsor told me NOT to have my clean date tattooed on me because I wouldn't want to have to cross it out...good thing she said it, who knows what may have happened!  LOL

My second is on my left shoulder blade.  A beautiful mermaid for my dear friend Abby, may she rest in peace.  Abby died due to complications of a heroin relapse at the age of 23, she was an incredible woman who didn't know how much she was loved, and sadly didn't love herself enough to grow to that point.  My mermaid is a beautiful red head with tattoos and piercings of her own.  Soon I will add some seaweed around her, but the 4.5 hours I laid still for that one was ENOUGH at the time.

My third covers my heart, a purple tulip with one blue tulip on each side.  The purple tulip is for my mother who died at the young age of 34.  And the blue tulips are my favorite flowers.

My fourth is on my upper left shoulder, it is a big red rose.  Just because I wanted a pretty tattoo that didn't symbolize anything at all besides something I find pretty.

I don't know if I will get any more...or any new ones, but I do want to add a little to the ones I have.  I want to add seaweed to the mermaid and I would like to connect the flowers from my chest to my arm with some more flowers  and/or vines just because I think it will look more fluid.

As of right now I have a total of 5 tattoos, 2 of which are not finished. When my whole theme is finished it will be one large tattoo instead of 5 individual ones. I started out with two on the same day. I wasn't planning on getting a tattoo, but when I went to support a friend in getting his done I saw these that the artist had drawn. They called to me because I had recently learned I was bi polar. I got one on each shoulder.. A sunflower(I'm from kansas so i thought this was symbolic) with devil wings and tail, and a sunflower with angel wings and halo. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c9/wyneima/t_good.jpg (angel)  http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c9/wyneima/t_bad.jpg (devil).

While I was getting these done the artist asked me why I chose to have both, as most people would choose one or the other. I told him about being bi polar and why I feel that some days I'm the devil and some days I'm the angel. When my tattoo was finished, he told me that he wanted to do something else with my idea of devil/angel inside. What came of his brainstorm was an idea of a heart in the middle of my chest with a devil on one side and an angel on one the other with symbols going from the shoulder tats to the heart representing the different religious and mental things each of us calls devils/angels with a background. It will be very very complicated when its finished. I have the heart finished with the devil/angel outlines some shading on them but that's all. I was doing it every two weeks as the details he was putting in he felt needed to settle before adding more on top. In the middle of my chest tats, he quit the parlor so i'm still unfinished, waiting for an artist that I think can finish this tattoo with the way i feel it needs to be done. This is a picture of what i have already. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c9/wyneima/untitled.jpg

No photo I'm afraid, but the most recent is a well known piece of art I had been carting around for years, with the intent.  When Hunter Thompson died, it seemed like time, and I had it done.

http://www.ralphsteadman.com/images/00art/gonzo/02drgonzomono.jpg

To me, it is symbolic of the day in my life when I grabbed what would fit, and slipped away before someone put me in a little room and made me explain.

An unexpected glitch with the design is how the lifted foot expands and contracts when I bend my elbow.
