So much for this conversation having no pertinence.BTW...the quote I plucked was actually just the tip of the iceberg,there are about a dozen equally repugnant viewpoints contained within the article...feel free to look it up! Some are down right bone chilling,one would think it was 1963.And as an aside ,people are free to think what they like,and I understand some of those view points I will find repugnant....I am free to think of these people as idiots,as it relates to these view points and though I apologised to Kirata for possibly offending him...I make no apology for believing these people to be idiots...They have their right to their views,I have my right to mine.

Mistress Obama is of mixed race. everytime race has been an issue in the primaries and the general he has brought it up. i do not see where he has risen above racism.

slvemike i agree with you that some of the statements are down right bone chilling. i have experienced that awful hatred firsthand. until you have walked in a black man's or black woman's shoes you can only sympathize. it is unfortunate that any politician can actually sympathize with hard working americans no matter the race.

unfortunately it is a huge issue. even in our churches! i am mixed race and i see it on both sides, especially when they think the other side is not looking!

I wish we could all get over our own races. Stop hyphenating our nationalities.. stop self-segregating. To me.. color means nothing.. but culture means everything. There are some cultures that treat people like shit because of either religion or tradition ... and yes, those are what I consider when I am deciding whether or not I wish to be involved with a person.

Race is a very important issue. I refuse to vote for anyone of any race other than human. Sometimes, that still seems to limit the field. This time, we seem to be okay.

even though racism was never mentioned in any of his books or writings. nor was it ever mentioned in his church of 20 years. nor was it mentioned in the civil suit he was a part of. oh well[:-]
