Status: offline 		We all know that negotiations of safety and well being are the number one concern of anyone entering into a relationship with another. What our expectations are ( I can hear the groans already .......no, this is not about expectations ), what we generally seek in a relationship, what our limits are regarding safety, etc. This got me thinking about an article I had read years ago, written by a slave. In the article, she talked about the fact that while we are so eager to discuss the easy things, we never stop to think about the issues that go much deeper within each of us. The limits that are 'ingrained' within our soul and spirit. She had made the suggestion that each should make a list of limits that reflected character, morals, values, and the spirit.

Thinking about this this morning, I thought it would be an interesting to try. For three hours, I sat and examined my spirit, my soul, my morals, my values, and my character. These are some of what I came up with.

I WILL NEVER SUBMIT TO:

Hating anyone
Letting anyone harm my daughter in any way
Intentionally harming another; whether it be emotional, physical, or mental.
Willful deceit.
Seeing the glass half empty; it will always be half full
Rumors
Having a closed mind.
Believing that only my way is the right way

I know there are more lol, but that was all I could think of at the time

Curious to see how others would respond to this.

never physically hurt a animal
never do anything that coudl harm my future children in any way
never do give up who i am at my core
never give up my family (nor woud they give me up)
not do anythign on prupose that could possably harm another human being w/out consent
never not stop learning from life, and usign to to shape my future

"I will not submit to anyone who would place me in the position to..."

It may sound like the same thing...but on careful consideration, it really isn't. (i'm having deep thoughts today...lol)

In any case, thanks for providing some food for thought.

Funny you should approach this topic as I was talking to My po-submissive last night and we were discussing hard limits. One of the things that I stress (and I can't stress enough) is for him to look outside of the physical things that he will not submit to. I also ask him to write it out clearly and send it to Me. I can learn alot about a potential submissives charactor and morals just by having him list what he will not do, under any circumstances. I respect that more than anything in a submissive when they can be true to themselves without fear of losing a po-Mistress.

Not to be nitpicky, but doesn't this statement contradict itself? You can't say you'd "never" submit to it, because you gavea situation where you would.

deliberately fail my kid in love or support.

give up a friend or friends on orders from my Dom or Master.

leave my One, unless He violated our relationship and broke our bond.

surrender my right to my own opinion, and the need to feel heard by my Dom or Master, though He has final decision-making authority.

place myself in any danger, including agreeing to anything that would de-stabilise me should our relationship end.

Status: offline 		LOL! Creative spelling or gramar for me! A potential master once said that all gramar and punctuation was subjective, I had a hard time keeping the communication going, just couldn't read what he wrote until I finally gave up!
