sunshinemiss -> Where in the World? (10/15/2008 5:02:56 PM)

When I call people they say "Where are you?", not "How are you?"  Ahhhh, the life of a vagabond.... a gypsy...the United Nations of Love....

Thought this might be a fun game ala Carmen San Diego....

Describe a place ... give 3 cues... and then people guess where it is... the winner then puts up three clues of the next place.

*Thanks to lushy for the idea for the game...

I'll start with an easy one...

1.  It has the most dangerous golf course in the world.
2.  The Miracle of the Han River happened here.
3.  It has the easiest alphabet in the world...

Where am I?

Ireland

A state...

1. It hosts the Chocolate Church.
2. It has a huge statue of Paul Bunyan.
3. Radio comic Fred Allen hailed from here.

Where am I?

But the Chocolate Church is in Main
And there are Giant statues of Paul Bunyan Every Where!!!

I’m going to say Maine …

Is that Right DarkSteven???
( I don't want to proceed if Maine isn't correct [8|]  )

DarkSteven -> RE: Where in the World? (10/16/2008 7:41:55 AM)

It is  Maine.  I screwed up, then... I thought Allen lived in Maine.

There is a huge honking statue of Paul Bunyan outside Bangor.

If you seek a beautiful peninsula look about you.
A connecting bridge
Named one after an Indian Chief.

DesertRat -> RE: Where in the World? (10/16/2008 9:07:42 AM)

~fr~
It's my spiritual home, Michigan. I always thought it was "pleasant" peninsula.

Dnomyar -> RE: Where in the World? (10/16/2008 9:14:07 AM)

Hey I had to improvise.

purepleasure -> RE: Where in the World? (10/16/2008 9:19:22 AM)

Michigan was the last clues posted.

It's home to penguins, eagles and lions.
It's also home to the Chocolate capital.
It's also where the city of brotherly love is.

DesertRat -> RE: Where in the World? (10/16/2008 9:26:03 AM)

Pennsylvania.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Where in the World? (10/16/2008 9:27:00 AM)

Pennsylvania!  Eeeh, do I have to think one up?

It touches the Arctic circle.
It's the first foreign part south of the USA
You can get dark chocolate coffee crisps there!
