Nobody in the UK cares about Warrington

This is patently untrue

People in Liverpool and inner city Manchester care very much about Warrington. After all, thats where they do much of their shopping for cars and household goods.

Not from the USA however I also care about their upcoming election as this will also have a flow-on effect to us. The past liberal government here had formed a very close bond with your current president and I am hoping that a change will undo some of these unhealthy alliances.

(trying to be as diplomatic as possible) [:D]

osocurious -> RE: Who cares? (10/18/2008 8:26:40 AM)

I'm really MORE concerned about this particular election then I EVER have been before .... this Presidential Election is HUGE folks .. and anyone who doesn't realize that, must be living under a rock!! [>:]
( please please folks .. wake up ...pay attention to the issues at hand .. and VOTE!! )

PanthersMom -> RE: Who cares? (10/18/2008 9:17:31 AM)

i voted absentee ballot this year.  wasn't sure when i'd be out of the nursing home, so i made sure i could vote either way.  my grandpa would have never forvigen me if i'd decided not to vote.  he used to tell me if i didn't vote i gave up my right to have an opinion about anything the government did because i hadn't taken my opportunity to participate.  it was a right his brother had died fighting to protect and he made sure we didn't forget that.  i wish he was still around to see this election, i'm sure we would have had some pretty interesting discussions.

ive always wondered how accurate the west wing was compared to reality... is there really 5 people in the white house that pretty much run the country rarely checking if el pres agrees with them :P

and are republicans really has hot as ainsley hayes??

PM`s grandpa was definitly a smart man.... you have no right to  bitch when congress raises your taxes etc if you dont stand up and say who you want IN congress

as for those lucky non americans of is.... we should care because if the americans get some war mongering genghis khan type prsident the rest of us are in serious trouble....

Can anyone name a country with an armed forces the size and sophistication of the US ?

i know my countries piddling little army would be screwed

Fact is .. global econemy global comunications global comunty arent just buzzwords...  we all effect each other

i.e. the banks right now

GreedyTop -> RE: Who cares? (10/18/2008 10:23:07 AM)

not being a white house insider, obviously I can't vouch for the reality, but I've heard people in the know say that it's pretty spot on as far as what the upper staffers have to deal with (compressed into an hour)

Raechard -> RE: Who cares? (10/18/2008 10:30:40 AM)

I don't care about Warrington either.[8|]

plus the havent gotten indoor plumbing yet

LadyEllen -> RE: Who cares? (10/18/2008 10:47:42 AM)

there is nothing wrong with Warrington!

lots of customer companies in Warrington

for those interested its located just southeast of Liverpool, northeast of Chester (which is an hour or so north of Welshpool)

Chester is more or less on the border with Wales; it is apparently still legal in Chester for the inhabitants to shoot any Welshman within the city walls after dark. Wouldnt want to put that to the test though

PeterJay -> RE: Who cares? (10/18/2008 12:05:17 PM)

I also care about the election & I will be voting.

I'm not sure Warrington is, but can you see Alaska?

Daddysredhead -> RE: Who cares? (10/18/2008 12:19:38 PM)

The OP is from Warrington, according to the profile.

I care a lot about this election.  As an Independent who has gone from liking one candidate over another in the past several months, it's extremely important to me.  I've read about each candidate, their policies, their track record, so much so that I feel a bit saturated.  I sort of have a preference (I think), but I'm still learning and reading.  I'm not a switch for nothing yanno.  [8|]
