I found this amusing, the largest Irish bookmaker has called the U.S. Presidential race and paid off on Obama already. Anyone here have bets on the outcome? Are you betting in dollars or euros? "Irish bookie calls US race over, pays off on Obama" By SHAWN POGATCHNIK, Associated Press Writer Thu Oct 16, 3:22 PM ET "Paddy Power PLC says it is so sure Barack Obama will win the U.S. presidential election next month that it paid off Thursday on all bets it had taken backing the Democratic candidate. It said it shelled out more than euro1 million, about $1.35 million. Gonna be interesting to see what happens if by chance McCain wins instead.... (I hate 'em both equally, so I figure we're doomed regardless of which one sits in the big chair)

Good thing for me that I already voted As did I, yesterday actually. I was waiting to see the last debate to see if McCain could change my opinion of him. He only sank the hook deeper for Obama. John just hasn't got what it takes to get my vote. Most people I know have voted early. Edited to add..............Almost forgot to answer the question. Yes, I did a bet months ago, my payout will be in 18K. It's already been purchased I believe.
