And another poster misses the point,as Sanity and others are now very quick to point out MadRabbit,Joe the plumber isn't the issue....McCain's sloppiness in ascertaining some truths about the man...before building his attack on Obama,before referring to "my friend Joe the plumber" 22 or 23 ? times is whats important...it is a detail someone in his campaign should have taken the time to ferret out.The devil is in the details Madrabbit,especially when you sit behind the big desk in the Oval Office....just how low will you guys set the bar,is being a Republican all it takes to gain your blind allegiance?

There we go again with that Republican thing. For someone so keen to details, you don't pay much attention to what other people write. I am assuming your reading comprehension level is linked to your grammar skills.

So once again....I reference my previous point....

Who gives a fuck about the truths of the man?

He is a random guy from a media highlight that McCain used as a reference to make a greater point in the debate.

Why should he have checked his backgroud?

Is Joe the Plumber replacing Sarah Palin for Vice President?

Maybe for the Supreme Court.

Blind allegiance is a little better than zealous rampage

Like I said mike, and like the post you're quoting only proves, the topic is a discussion of Obama's Marxist policies, and not a discussion centered on Joe the nobody plumber.

It's sad to see how you and Obama's friends in the media circus have become obsessed over the guy, and how you now seem bent on destroying him. And for what, because he had the nerve to dare question Obama the great?

Defend Obama's tax the rich to buy votes scheme, forget about poor unlicensed schmuck Joe. He's nothing, a nobody. Do you really hate him now? For gods sake...

ORIGINAL: slvemike4u Sanity you seem to be having some difficulty with the facts,much like your Candidate does.In the interest of clarity I will reprint in it's entirety post #7 from your thread.Tell us again how this was never about Joe.......

Obama might as well be holding a gun to Joe's head, taking the guy's wallet, then going down to the railroad tracks and handing out fifty dollar bills to all the hobos hanging out down there.

There is really very little difference.

Where in the Constitution is a President empowered to do that? Where does it say that the Government gets to decide who makes how much money. Joe's argument is that he can do more for the economy with his own money by expanding his business and hiring more employees than Barack Obama possibly could by taking that money away and giving it to some bloated federal bureaucracy...

Which is dead on right.

Barack Obama's plan will only serve to drive entrepreneurs offshore, which is something we really need less of, not more.

Who is missing the point MadRabbit,was it not your Candidate who elevated this want to be plumber to his 15 minutes of fame.Should he have known who he used as an example to make that larger point.....please don't bother answering me,we all know you will spin it
As far as grammar is concerned my friend,should I ever want for help in that or any other area.....I shall seek out someone far more qualified than you.Reading Comprehension I have no problems with either,the fact you claim not to be a Republican is trumped as far as I'm concerned by the old adage....if it walks like a duck,and talks like a duck....it's probably a duck...quack ,quack....

And if they do,would you consider McCain culpable in some measure for his part in elevating this guy to the national discusion?

Okay...you can't really provide an argument that justifies why McCain should have performed a background check, so now you switch to pegging the guilt of "Poor Joe" on McCain's shoulders for mentioning him in the first place...

Backpedal...backpedal...backpedal...

Culpable for what, Mikey?

Referencing him in a debate to bring up the situation where Obama admitted to being a Marxist/Socialist?

I watch the debate. I saw how many times Obama mentioned his name.

If the mere utterance of a name on TV is enough to make one responsible for the liberal media's zealous feeding frenzy, then your beloved candidate shares in that culpability.

And at the end of the day, all this and any of your arguments will prove or serve in the terms of this campaign is taking the focus off what you didn't want Obama to say.

Congratulations!

Well, it's wrong to lie, and say you're a plumber and you're planning on buying a business, when you're neither.

Given his tax problem, I wonder *exactly* where he's planning on coming up with a few million in financing to "buy" this business he's a NON-UNION LABORER for. He carries buckets and sweeps the floor.

Just another bullshitter looking for the spotlight. I suspect he *really* just wants to 'Smoke Rush's Pink Cigar', you know?

He's not changing his argument. He really only needs one argument. The fact that it's sailing right over your head doesn't mean he needs a new one that's more simple for you.

The facts are these:
1) Joe the Plumber approaches Obama, saying, "I'm gonna buy my boss' business, and it's gonna make over $250,000... under your tax plan, I'm gonna end up paying more, aren't I?"

(BTW, the answer was no... but we can discuss that elsewhere.)

2) John McCain sees tape of this exchange and decides to make it a focal point of the final debate. Mentioning Joe 22 to 24 times. (sources vary for some reason) Again, the answer to the question was" "No, Joe will not be paying more." Nor will he pay any "fine" in employer supplied health insurance.

3) The media, being the wonderful little gophers they are, start digging. Ta-da! Joe only earns maybe $40,000 a year, and doesn't qualify for a business loan. The whole subject of his buying his boss' business is some kind of fantasy cooked up by Joe to try and put Obama on the spot in his first encounter.

So, Joe not only is "made of fail" when it came to his initial encounter, he's also inadvertantly hit McCain in the face with a cream pie, because McCain took him at his word that his purchase of the buisness, and his eventually having employees, was a real possibility. It was a real "Being There" Chauncey Gardenier moment. Still, his attempt at pulling a "gotcha" with Obama has tossed another log on the burning bonfire of the republican campaign.

Thanks, Joe!

So apparently does Joe not have a plumbers license and he also lived in Alaska for 4 years.   Joe says now he was not uncommitted.  Joe tried to make himself a ringer.

I don't know about the back woods of Alaska.  Everywhere else I do know of you have to be listed as an apprentice to work under the company license.  So Joe is buying a plumbing business but can't even say he is a plumber.  Right.   joe wanted the spotlight, he might now regret it.

As bugs bunny would say,  "What a maroon".

Your right. Shifting the focus on the vessel of the message, a guy who really has no bearing or influence on the Presidental campaign, instead of focusing on the message itself which is the Marxist thought that spawned Obama's tax plan goes completely over my head.

Particularly when it takes precedent over the history of the Presidental candidate himself.

Joe` s gonna be on Huckabee`s Fox show this weekend.

I imagine Fox thought they made a coup when they booked Joe the plunger.

Now they don`t look all that bright.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
I also notice more of the same fake outrage from cons, when their guy is found out as something less than genuine.
When Sarah was 1st intro-ed and normal folks went "eh?" after seeing an empty skirt,the cons did a fake outrage/change the subject move by complaining that folks(and the evil media) were picking on poor widle Sarah.
When all along,they were looking at her competence and record.What the National Inquirer said was irrelevant.
Now with ,lol, "Joe",they claim that "Joe" is being victimized after folks found out about him.When the issue isn`t ,lol, "Joe" at all.
It`s about McCain and his competence,and his staff`s(who would get plumb jobs in a McCain/Palin admin.)competence.
We would have every republican lobbyist in DC working inside the system(in a McCain admin.) as well as outside on K Street.They are much better at lobbying than they are at campaigning.
I think the McCain campaign will be a great learning tool in political science classes, for what not to do.
No, S.
Because (1) Joe misrepresented himself--he doesn't even have a plumber's license
(2) Joe WILL do better under Obama's plan
(3) the "small business defense" ignores basics---small businesses deduct all those expenses BEFORE paying taxes
(4) the incident again demonstrates McCain's sloppiness
(5) the incident again shows how McCain LIKES to shoot from the hip, rather than think things through
One of the guest commentators on the Diane Rheame Show this morning had the perfect anology for the election this year: it's a huge replay of the Road Runner and Wyile E. Coyote....  Obama just keeps bookin' along, never really phased by anything, and McCain keeps making these grandiose plans for trapping him. Yet, every single time, the plans backfire, and McCain goes off a cliff, disappearing from view, only to have the media note the little puff of dust as he hits the canyon floor below... only to pull himself up out of the hole, and start on the next silly, overcomplicated plan...
In the meantime, Obama remains calm, cool and collected.... just bookin' along the highway...
Joe the Plumber is just the latest plan by "John McCain: Suuuuupeeer Geeeniuuus...." (I like the way that rolls out!) that has blown up in his face. I wonder if the company Joe works for is something like "Acme Plumbing."
To the bunny wabbit...the devil is in the details....our next President better know that,your guy doesn't.Simply put he is unfit for the office he aspires to,and if you paid attention to the details you would realise this.
