If the submissive doesn't read the profile in the first place, does it not imply she is not serious? Or perhaps has no idea what she is doing? Or what she wants?

if she's not looking, for whatever reason, how does that make her less serious or anything else, other than not interested in reading the profile? Or even if she IS looking, you can get basics from the blurb that comes with the email. That may be enough to say "I don't need to look any further into this profile".

It could mean that, but I'm the type that hears hoofbeats and thinks horses, not zebras. As Greedy said, sometimes the message is enough to respond to, and sometimes I just don't really feel like reading profiles. Lest anyone doubt I'm serious, I met Sir here. And He was what I wanted.

Basically what I do .. is start with the partial profile below the email and the content of the email to decide if I am interested enough to read the rest of the profile if not I will respond based on that info.. as in sorry I am searching for someone closer to my age or sorry not interested or just respond making small chat

Being that my account is relatively new, I've been taking my time responding to those who interest me being I've happened to get alot of attention so far from the topics that my profile handles. Alot of oneliners don't really interest me,if something someone wrote me happens to make me interested some times, i shall go take a glance at someones profile and read it thoroughly basically to see if he would interest me. Also it helps if a dominant writes in a message to read his journal, being some poem there or something that will interest me, that may also make me go and read his profile, sometimes if i see a interesting name, I shall go to the profile and read it before taking the time to respond to him, so i don't look stupid and see if he seems good for me.
