After I posted this he messaged me again and said that I must be a man because I responded to him so forcefully. I explained to him I am not about to let someone like him try and walk all over me and that I simply don't have the right parts to be a man. I found it amusing at that point. And then he messaged me saying that I was lovely and such and apologized. And then he asked me if he could hypnotize me. Bizarre person.

Which side of Switch was this twit trying to reach? Not sure that hypnosis from someone with a come-on line like this would be wise to play with at all...hummm maybe I just answered my own question: desperation + fetish - bad manners & spelling = HNG [:D]

Krasnaya -> RE: Rude messages (12/10/2005 1:49:20 PM)

Wow. It is so hard for me to not respond to things like that. It just feels so good to call someone a loser for having to nerve to contact a stranger with that kind of nonsense.

Some people should just be horribly embarassed by their complete lack of social skills.

I realize that I'm ranting but I just had to block a man almost 3 times my age for continuing to ask if he could approach me... what you respect me enough to call me, a TOTAL STRANGER, "ma'am" but not enough to leave me alone once you realize I'm not interested. [:@]

SubmissiveOphelia -> RE: Rude messages (12/14/2005 4:48:34 PM)

Unfortunately, rude messages, hateful messages, insults and so on are rampant on this site. I have received tons of them, and I have a block list pages long.

We have to learn to just let it go. Delete and block, delete and block. That's about all that can be done.

Good luck...

GrizzlyBear -> RE: Rude messages (12/14/2005 11:41:42 PM)

This is just a troll, and a damn crude one. Trolls are found all over the Internet, not just on Personals sites. They seek attention of any kind. Of course they don't expect this sort of approach to result in a relationship, all they want is any response. An angry one is as good as any to them. Your responses provide him with the attention he seeks.

Don't feed trolls, delete and block. And don't let it bother you. That's what he wants.

angaothsi -> RE: Rude messages (12/15/2005 12:12:54 AM)

I sure we all get them, I don't even have a pic on my profile here and I clearly state I am here ONLY for the interaction on the message boards. yet I still get odd emails, I think the best so far was a man who said "something in your profile intruiges and entrances me" and I was laughing my butt off because I could think of NOTHING in my profile which could possiablly "intrigue or entrance" ANYONE! LOL I'm sure even the Masters and Sirs get their fair share of people emailing them out of hand. My advice, Delete and Block can become your very best friends.

Not true... read the site TOS. Harassing emails are not allowed. If someone continues to harass you or verbally attack you in email report it. I've only had one such case happen to me and I did report it. The site admin deleted the offenders profile within 24 hrs of my report which I thought was a pretty quick response time all things considered.

I guess I've been fortunate in that regard, I've only had to put two people on my block list. Both were gay men who wanted me to dom them... apparently they missed this part in my profile, "She should be a natural woman (no TG, TV and I would prefer no breast implants)..." It kind of amazed me that somehow they thought a heterosexual dom would be interested in them... but I guess some folks live in their own little dream world.

The one that really had me laughing was the one who wrote and said she thought I'd be the perfect Master for her, would I please look at her profile and see what I thought of her. A bit brief in her introduction but it was polite and I figured at least warranted a look at her profile, whereupon I read this...
" hey. i'm ******, 24.

i'm currently property of Master ******, but Master is searching for people for Master to pimp me out to online."
(Names deleted to protect the guilty...)

Now I wonder if her "master" knows she is apparently shopping around for a new master? Next

I was wondering if anyone on here receives mail like this as often as I do.

Dunno how often you receive them but I usually get at least a couple a month from folks who apparently never bothered to read my profile. I get the one liners (yesterday I got one that only said "Braveheart?" no idea what that was supposed to mean, I did not respond), the wankers, the rude twits, etc.

My take on it is that there are a percentage of people on sites like this who are so wrapped up in their on selfish desires that they never even consider who the person they are fantasizing about really is. When we turn out to straight male doms, or lesbian domme's, or already involved in relationships, or whatever else it might be that disappoints their little fantasies they get pissy and act like children.

If they just write once, ignore them, delete, move on. If they write again but don't violate the TOS, block them. If they do violate the TOS, report them. My experience is the admin here at CM does care and will take action when appropriate, which is one of the cool things about this site.

ExistentialSteel -> RE: Rude messages (12/15/2005 2:58:56 AM)

I get a few, too, but I look at it as a basic internet experience. By joining a website, you open yourself to emails to start with. If you have an active journal or post to the boards as many of us do, you attract fans plus those who will find fault in what you say.

These may be perfectly nice people, who pay their taxes on time and put the shopping carts in the thing in the parking lot, but they freak out on a computer. Some will be affected by a certain post and feel that you understand their feelings. Truthfully, when I write, I want the readers to be affected so why should I complain?

The bad side is that someone, somewhere will find offense in most anything written or a picture and will attack in vehement ways. You become their fixation in a “Taxi Driver” like way.

It's my feeling that at least one moderator and maybe two, are actually more than just overseer's of this message board. In fact, as it relates to the whole collarme site, I'm quite sure that they can actually do anything they want regarding membership behavior - Even if there is a set protocol and consensus opinion deems it not to be fair.

That's just a personal opinion, by the way.

nephandi -> RE: Rude messages (12/15/2005 9:47:35 AM)

Well it is not uncommon for that to be the case on message boards, but then, they run this site for free and they are only human, if the Moderators have flaws, or if they do somthing we dont like, we have to options realy, acept it, or leve.

KatyLied -> RE: Rude messages (12/15/2005 9:59:16 AM)

I received a strange message a few days ago, although it wasn't rude.
It was a poem about a girl named Rachel.
I'm not sure what the sender was trying to communicate to me.

You may have misunderstood my post. It was not an attempt to paint a picture of unfairness, but instead, throw out the speculation that at least one, and maybe two, have unilateral power over the whole site.

i have to say that since joining, i was surprised to not have more intrusive and vulgar emails. but i am happy that i can say that 95% of the ones i have received have been positive if not complimentary.

the only one i can truly think that may have bordered on offending me... was one from a gentleman stating "Wow, you look like a guy!"

well, being a butch dyke, this was not the first time i had heard that one. i am hoping for something more original from him next time

MissHarlet -> RE: Rude messages (12/15/2005 11:57:10 AM)

I have to agree that the best thing to do is ignore and or block rude emails... those that are rude feed on any kind of attention as has been stated before.

They are not worth my time and energy to worry about them... I refuse to give them that power.

I just assume that it is there loss if they are so negative that no one wants to interact with them in anyway.

FelinePersuasion -> RE: Rude messages (12/15/2005 12:03:17 PM)

Hmm I must be doing something wrong I don't get any rude or harrasing emails at all. Most the time since I don't do a whole lot of contacting my inbox is empty. Except for the one person I am talking to as a friend on here instead of on yahoo since hers don't work.

Sartoris32801 -> RE: Rude messages (12/15/2005 12:22:40 PM)

I’ve received several uninvited and insulting E-mails (yes woman can be insultingly rude as well); all are in response to a profile that states I am not looking for a “love”

Perhaps they prefer the drama, of falsehoods, being misled and after an investment of time and emotional energy, being discarded?

They do however give fodder to some of my most amusing harangues in response.

KatyLied -> RE: Rude messages (12/15/2005 12:23:32 PM)

FelinePersuasion - the rude ones I get are from strangers (as in people I've never sent messages to). There are rare, but nasty. Comments like "your tease of a picture" "you will never find what you seek". etc.

MHOO314 -> RE: Rude messages (12/15/2005 12:42:26 PM)

ok I have to share this, I, as we all do get My share of freaky emails--and I get a lot from Doms, many of them good, some of them trying to convince Me either I am really a sub or they are really subs--I so don't get that--but anyway I digress---

I get this email (2 actually) from a Dom:

email 1: I just read your profile--you really need to get over yourself

email 2: I just read your profile again-- I need to go vomit--

it is a full moon again isn't it?
