Ok ok, call me thick, but i have always wondered what the meaning is of the black tape often seen as an 'x' on nips?  Is it a visual thing or is there a reason for it?

Sorry if i;'m being dumb here.

A lot of the time, it's just for legality purposes for photos on the 'net.

There are all sorts of bizarre laws in place about what constitutes acceptable photography and what's obscene. It seems fairly common that nipples are obscene, but breasts are not, so the nips are x'ed out to remain legal.

Bizarre, I know.

Just a bit of a clarification ..... Its not exactly the photography that the law is aimed at, its the situation where the photograph was taken.

If the photos were taken at a nightclub or some other public event, the people there were probably wearing the tape as a loophole in the laws on indecent exposure.

Thanks TheHungryTiger, although i have seen it used in professional pics, maybe at a club, i have also seen it used in more priovate pics too and wondered if it was for a particular d/s reason.  Thanks for your reply.
