I'm looking for some links for vintage inspired plus size womens clothing and lingerie.
The one link I do have... www.babygirlboutique.com/rockabilly-clothing-pinup-clothes  is great, if limited.

Thanks.
Carrie

Carrie > instead of links head down to your local new and used book store , look for  theatrical , costume ,and vintage wear books for some added inspirations . I have found some neat books and patterns and even some thrift stores have these books cheap .
best wishes .As far as Lingerie and fun under to be made into fun outer wear   try the history section , pop culture ,etc for those .There is a history of underwear and history of the corset  out there .There is a real cool history of burlesque book out too , that can provide  education along with eye candy inspiration .good luck in your search  .

azropedntied...

Thanks for the book idea...funny thing, it was a book of fashions from the 20's that got me interested in trying to incorporate bits and pieces into a look.
I guess this means instead of looking for links to clothing sites I need to look for a good sewing machine and a class to teach me how to use it...wink!

btw...I'll check on the History of Burlesque book...sounds like a good read. I already have a favorite copy of "Burlesque and the Art of the Teese"  by Dita Von Teese...love her.

Carrie

My Pleasure .. And who does not  dig Dita  she  rocks !I found the  neatest book showcasing fredricks history through the years too ,Though it was a bit pricey to add to my collection at this  time .Carrie  just about any of the sewing  shops and retail stores have classes , also  your local community college is an outlet .I recall when they had  actual classes  in jr high and high school  wow i am old . lol I took home ed classes  mainly  cuz thats where most of the girls  were and we ate and made stuff  we could actually use .

Thank you but these items aren't vintage or even vintage-inspired. They actually look more like club clothes.

I would suggest you post on the "sought or for sale" forum if you want to advertise your website...which you've done on many threads.

daddyos.com has some cute stuff, and some of it does come in plus-size, but they aren't EXCLUSIVELY plus-sized, FYI

No problemo!  There are QUITE a few dresses in there that I wish I could afford... BUT I am still getting back on My feet from a bad start to the year.

But there's always next year!

Is that what you are looking for in terms of clothes?

I am a fat fashion maven but generally do not bother with lingerie so others will have to help there.

You guys are great.....

LadybugBlue.....As azropedntied said, what I can't afford I can try to sew (of course what he doesn't know is that I excelled at the cooking part of Home Ec. !)...and next year is just around the corner. Yah for new beginnings.

GreedyTop....Well hell Greedy, they may not have a website but they are listed with a phone number and it won't hurt to give 'em a call and see what they have and if they would do ant kind of trade (I have some fun stuff).

moonvine...."Fat fashion maven"...I love that!  Those were some cool sites and yes, the clothes could be fun.  I just need to add some splash without it being too "trashy" (hey, gotta be able to wear them to work).

Thanks everyone....I've got some cool new bookmarks on my laptop now. Inspiration all around!

I'm not sure how large they go, but I'm often drooling at the corsets at trashy.com http://www.trashy.com/Carousel-Collection-bycollection.htm
