ORIGINAL: bestbabync what does Ann Coulter have to do with this thread? I mentioned her to IrishKnight because unlike him, I am not of the opinion that the hate is equally shared between the two main sides. I am convinced that right wing ideology relies on fear and hatred. Not all right wing people suffer from this ailment, it goes without saying, but it does make Republicans more susceptible to expressing hatred than laid back Democrats. : Coulter is a perfect example of right wing hate. I could have mentioned Limbaugh, O'Reilly or Hannety. Edited for claridad. I believe that it is equally shared because I have seen it. There were a lot of crazy angry dems in the area I was living in during the 2004 election. So many were blinded by hate and anger that they couldn't talk to you without screaming. I had a friend running for state legislature as a republican. She is a sweetheart of a woman and she was treated as if she were scum. Nobody cared about issues. Her opposition played on her naturalized citizen status, made fun publicly of her accent and acted like an ass. During their debate, he avoided answering questions on the issues and acted much like McCain has been doing. The dark side is strong in both parties.
