Former Reagan aide and self confessed Republican ideologue Ken Adelman was on UK's Channel4 news this evening, to explain his decision to back Barack Obama.

Describing Sarah Palin as suitable for stand up comedy but not to deal with the serious issues facing the US, Mr Adelman told the audience he would be voting Democrat for the first time in his life, this election.

Nope KS - the only story in town for the Reps appears to be voter fraud, according to C4 news anyway

As everyone leaves the sinking ship, thats all there is left to explain it all

I think they have to wait for the far right blogs to be written first,  That way they can collect their "facts".

Voter fraud, yeah right... the biggest fraud around is Michigan Republicans attempting to prevent people whose houses were repossessed from voting  .

Now now KS - thats not fraud; thats upright citizens wishing to establish voting credentials. Its surely not too much to ask would be voters for confirmation of their US home address so their entitlement can be verified?

Missed a trick there when they had the chance - still, there's time yet

Actually, LadyE, it's a little more complicated than that. For the sake of not derailing your thread, I recommend you read about it here:

http://michiganmessenger.com/4463/obama-campaign-files-suit-over-foreclosure-lists

Losing your house shouldn't mean losing your vote.

It gets really interesting down in the comments of that blog you posted. Following attached links leads me to believe that the story is not as represented. Luckily I no longer live in Oakland County..but I am an absentee voter for that county.

I can remember the panic in the metro Detroit area during the 1970s and could never have imagined how things would decline to the state they're in today. Michigan had tremendous potential and now it feels like there is an impenetrable miasma of hopelessness over the state.

I admit that I thought McCain the lesser of two evils months ago.  After watching him fall apart and show a lack of class, McCain changed my mind.

I still think Palin is a cutie and would sell my vote to her for a scrump but I'm easy that way.  So until she shows up at my house in a leather teddy, no vote for them.
