I fantasize about replacing that stupid ball they use with an armed WMD.

Does that count?

I fantasize about sports commentators who DON'T get paid by the word! Why else would they talk non-stop?

Oh, you mean not BDSM.

You know Vinateri missed his first two kicks in the Super Bowl and may need to be punished.

Seriously I'm a New England Patriots fan and only follow stats that count.

Know the old joke about the Patriots and Barney Frank? (The patriots were bad under Pete Carrol, but had an all star. Mr. Frank is the only openly gay US rep.)

Why does Barney Frank like the patriots?
They have a good tight end and they suck.

Mod Three,
At least you got one good player with your kicker being from the Colts. Too bad the Colts are only going to score touchdowns this season lol.

Then he will get lots of PATs unless they always go for two.

I just picked up Ron Dayne, I think the combination of Toomer, Barber and Dayne should be good this year. So I feel I got more than one good player.

I have had Culpepper every year and he has yet to let me down too much.

I think both my kickers are good. I also dropped McCown, and am awaiting Leftwich. Was thinking of going with Warner but there seems to be a question as to who NYG is going with this year, it is between Warner and Manning- coach was none too impressed with Warner's inability to scramble in scrimmage, and if Manning takes a hit he is probably gone.

I almost wanted Garcia this year, he has had favorable seasons in the past.. but I don't "feel" like he will do much this year.. just a feeling of mine.

While the Giant's are not a favored team of mine, I am looking at points possible. Some say Toomer is finished and is on a downward slide. I really think the combination of the three will put up some points for me this year..... at least I am hopeful.

In the last 4 years I have made the playoffs 3 times and actually managed to win one season. I play as dig on my ex- when I first started he said I could never figure it out and I kicked his ass that year, and every year since. Even though he is a total bastard, I still send him my weekly picks- just to fuk with him.. :laughs: He hates that I still play, and I have actually found it fun to participate in.

Have I ever mentioned I am a bit competitive?... ;)

And yes, I do watch the games sometimes. And I have figured out they cannot hear me when I scream at the television... how could they possibly hear me with their helmets on?

Dont do any NY Giants QB's the O-Line is so questionable that it scares me to think what Warner will do if rushed, and if its Eli then.....well.........I mean are you really ready to put your teams success int he hands of a rookie? If your looking for a second QB look at Plummer or Harrington or Carr if one of them are available they all have good chances to be a sleeper pick. As for WR... stick with any of the top 2 slots on the Rams, Packers, and Vikings, even the eagles and you'll do fine.

Cheeba,
great question about asking whether you would go with a rookie. It takes a couple of years to learn how to read defenses in the pros and if they start him i am sure he will have a terrible TD/int ratio.

If they had a clue they would do like the Colts did when they first got Peyton. Spend a year where you just write it off. Over protect him. Two Tight End sets. Only send two receivers out.

The defenses will be more complicated than in college, but not frighteningly so. No blitzes will be so succesful that he learns to start scrambling before he reads the defense. (Scramblers rarely get better unless they learn to not scramble until they know there is nothing better.)

My one reservation about MOD3's fantasy team comes from my view as a Patriot fan. David Givens may not start some games. Belichick often tries to morph the team as to the opponents weakness. (As one who watched the Patriots last season I never saw the same team twice. {Heck, I even saw them do a running team once.} [Teams played twice had vastly different weather.] If he thinks a weakness can be best exposed by David Patten, Patten will start. If he thinks the passing game is good decoy for Dillon, then smash-mouth Belichick appears.)
